Can't the high-voltage equipment be damaged when the X-ray tube is scrapped?

X-ray tubes can damage high-voltage equipment when scrapped. Scraping equipment that contains radioactive sources or can produce radioactivity must be reported to the school management department for approval and decommissioned in accordance with national regulations. When the X-ray tube is scrapped, the high-voltage equipment should be destroyed and photos should be taken for storage; the source-related experimental sites must be decommissioned in accordance with relevant national regulations.

Radioactive waste (source) should be strictly managed and must not be treated as ordinary waste or disposed of without authorization. Relevant laboratories should be equipped with special radioactive waste collection barrels. Radioactive waste liquids should be solidified and prepared before being sent for storage. Radioactive wastes should be promptly sent to urban radioactive waste warehouses for collection and storage. The discharge of gaseous or liquid radioactive effluents should be strictly in accordance with environmental impact assessment and local ecology. The emission amount and emission method approved by the environmental department shall be implemented.
