Dongfang Electric 1, DEC: Founded in 1958, Dongfang Electric Group is a world-renowned energy equipment manufacturing enterprise group with national laboratories, academician workstations and postdoctoral research centers, mainly engaged in various types of generator sets, large-scale environmental protection and water treatment equipment, power electronics and control systems.
2. Harbin Electric Power Co., Ltd.: The power generation equipment research and manufacturing base built earlier in China is a large-scale enterprise mainly engaged in the construction and manufacturing services of power generation equipment research and manufacturing projects around the new power system with new energy as the main body. On the basis of six construction projects of 156 aided by the Soviet Union during the First Five-Year Plan period, the three major power plants in Harbin, which started construction in succession, were developed and expanded.

Hydroelectric power generation mechanism
1. Hydraulic turbine: There are two kinds of hydraulic turbines in common use: impulse type and reaction type.
2. Generators: Most generators are synchronous generators, and the rotating speed is relatively low, generally below 750 rpm, and some are only tens of rpm. Due to low rotating speed, many magnetic poles, large structural size and weight. The installation forms of hydro-generator set are vertical and horizontal.
3. Speed control device (including speed governor and oil pressure device): The function of speed governor is to adjust the speed of water turbine, so as to ensure that the frequency of output electric energy meets the power supply requirements and realize the operation of the unit (starting, stopping, changing speed, increasing or decreasing load) and safe and economical operation. Therefore, the performance of the governor should meet the requirements of fast running speed, sensitive response, rapid stability and convenient operation and maintenance, and reliable manual operation and emergency stop device are also needed.
4. Excitation system: Hydroelectric generators are generally electromagnetic synchronous generators. By controlling the DC excitation system, the voltage regulation of electric energy, the adjustment of active power and reactive power can be realized, thus improving the quality of output electric energy.
5. Cooling system: Air cooling is mainly used for cooling small hydro-generators, and the stator, rotor and iron core surfaces of the generator are cooled by ventilation system. However, with the increase of single machine capacity, the thermal load of stator and rotor is also increasing. In order to improve the output power per unit volume of the generator at a certain speed, the stator and rotor windings of the large-capacity hydro-generator are directly cooled by water. Or the stator winding is cooled by water and the rotor is cooled by strong wind.
