The University of Las Vegas' offerings reflect the character of the city, with the largest, 35-year-old School of Tourism in the country and the second largest in the nation in convention, tourism, and hospitality management. The University of Las Vegas is accredited by the Northwest Association of Colleges and Schools, and in 2000 the school underwent another comprehensive review and was accredited by the Association's Commission on Colleges.
