School Overview:
The University of Las Vegas' offerings reflect the character of the city, with the largest, 35-year-old School of Tourism in the country and the second largest in the nation in convention, tourism, and hospitality management. The University of Las Vegas is accredited by the Northwest Association of Colleges and Schools, and in 2000 the school underwent another comprehensive review and was accredited by the Association's Commission on Colleges.
The school is very safe and has a wide variety of outdoor activities. All programs are accredited by the Northwest Association of Colleges and Schools, and the school is known for its campus security, with police officers patrolling the campus every night. The Alumni Association is made up of more than 60,000 students, more than 72% of whom live in Nevada, and has donated $5.9 million to the school to date for student scholarships.
