The disabled drive those cars

The following five categories of disabled people can take the test for a driver's license:

People with disabilities in the left lower limb can apply for a small automatic vehicle permit (C2)

People with disabilities in the right lower limb can apply for a disabled person-specific small automatic passenger car permit (C5)

People with disabilities in the lower limbs of the two, can apply for a disabled person-specific small automatic passenger car permit (C5)

Hearing impaired people, hearing devices to wear hearing to meet the prescribed requirements; or apply for a small automatic passenger car permit C5)

People with hearing impairment, whose hearing reaches the prescribed requirements after wearing hearing aids, can apply for a small car (C1); or apply for a small automatic transmission vehicle (C2)

People who are missing their right thumbs or whose fingers are mutilated at the end of their fingers can apply for a small car (C1) or apply for a small automatic transmission vehicle (C2)

Applications for small automobiles for persons with disabilities can be submitted to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications for consideration.

The Chinese government is considering relaxing the restrictions on disabled people applying for driver's licenses, and from July 8, 2009 From July 8 to 20, 2009, China's Ministry of Public Security published the "Amendments to the Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses (Draft for Public Comment)" and opened it for public comment. The draft further relaxed the physical conditions for persons with disabilities to apply for a driver's license:

Allowing persons with disabilities in the right lower limb or both lower limbs to apply for a driver's license, stipulating that persons with the right lower limb or both lower limbs missing or with loss of motor function, but able to sit and stand on their own, may apply to drive a small automated passenger vehicle exclusively used by persons with disabilities; allowing persons with disabilities with hearing disabilities to apply for a driver's license, stipulating that persons with hearing disabilities who are hearing impaired may apply for a driver's license. If a person's hearing reaches the prescribed requirements after wearing a hearing aid device, he/she may apply to drive a small car or a small automatic transmission vehicle.

Disabled person test driver's license process

1, the right lower limb, double lower limb disabled person should be designated by the provincial health department of the specialized medical institutions to carry out a physical examination, and receive a certificate of relevant physical conditions.

2. After passing the physical examination, the applicant shall apply for a driver's license at the Vehicle Administration Office of the place of domicile or temporary residence, and shall fill in the Application Form for Motor Vehicle Driving License and submit the applicant's identity card and the certificate of the relevant physical condition issued by the specialized medical institution designated by the provincial health department.

3. After the application is accepted by the Vehicle Management Office, the applicant may go to a specialized driving training school or training institution to learn road safety laws, regulations and related knowledge, and to train driving skills.

4. After the training is completed, the applicant, according to the time of booking the test, will take the subject 1 (road traffic safety laws, regulations and related knowledge), subject 2 (site driving skills test) and subject 3 (road driving skills test) test. After passing the three subjects, the Vehicle Management Office will issue a driving license for a small automatic passenger vehicle for the disabled within two days.
