Difference between inaccessible airbag and distal airbag

The inaccessible airbag and the remote airbag are two different airbag systems used for different safety functions. Their main difference lies in their deployment location and scope of action.

1. Driver Airbag: Driver Airbag is an airbag system installed in the driver's direction. The main role is to quickly inflate the vehicle in the event of a collision, to protect the driver's head and upper body, to reduce the impact of the collision. The deployment position of the driver airbag is usually in the center of the steering wheel, near the driver's chest and head position.

2. Distal airbag (Passenger Airbag): The distal airbag is an airbag system installed in the direction of the passenger. The main role is to protect the head and upper body of the co-pilot in the event of a collision, to reduce the impact of the collision. The deployment location of the distal airbag is usually in the front of the dashboard or windshield area, near the co-driver's position.

Both airbag systems are based on vehicle sensors that monitor collision signals and then rapidly inflate via an inflator to provide protection. They are designed to reduce injuries by mitigating direct contact between the occupant's body and objects in the vehicle during a crash. Different airbag systems are deployed in different locations on the vehicle and have different scopes of action in order to more fully protect the driver and passengers.
