The outside of gloves is sterile area, so it should be kept sterile. Hands without gloves should not touch the outside of gloves, and gloves should not touch hands without gloves and the inside of gloves. If the gloves are damaged or accidentally contaminated, they should be replaced immediately. Don't pull the edges or fingers of gloves hard to avoid damage.
Sterile gloves's removal method:
Hold the edge of contaminated surface with gloved hands, take off gloves, hold gloves with gloved hands, hold the edge of clean surface (inner surface) with gloved hands, take off gloves, hold gloves with hands and throw them into medical waste containers. Wash your hands after taking off sterile gloves.
When wearing gloves for nursing or diagnosis and treatment, gloves should be replaced when moving from contaminated parts (including incomplete skin, mucosa or implanted medical devices) of the same patient to clean parts.
