How to use the multimeter?

Digital multimeter displays parameter values with numbers. As shown in figure 9- 1 1, it is the outline diagram of the universal digital multimeter. Digital multimeter has clear and intuitive display, stable performance, high sensitivity and accuracy. The usage method is as follows:

Figure 9- 1 1 digital multimeter

When measuring DC current with digital multimeter, first insert the black stylus into the "COM" hole. When the measured current is greater than 200mA, insert the red probe into the "10A" jack and turn the knob to the DC "10a" position. When the measured current is less than 200mA, insert the red probe into the "200mA" jack and turn the knob to an appropriate position within the DC "200ma" range.

After selecting the gear, connect the multimeter in series in the circuit and read after stabilization. If the value on the screen is "1", increase the range and re-measure; If a "-"sign appears to the left of the value, it means that the current flows into the multimeter from the black contact pin, and the two contact pins can be interchanged. When measuring AC voltage with digital multimeter, change the gear to AC gear, and the connection method is the same as measuring DC voltage.
