Gamma Knife Positioning Headstock Principle

The principle is shown as follows:

Gamma Knife localization is achieved by two sets of localization coordinate system, one is the coordinate system of the radiation source, this coordinate system is fixed on the radiation source, the center of which is the focal point of the source; the second is the coordinate system of the head positioning frame, this coordinate system is fixed on the skull, and tomographic sweeps (CT/MRI) can be determined by the coordinate value of the lesion.

The Gamma Knife is a medical device used to treat a number of benign or malignant tumor lesions. The Gamma Knife Positioning Headstock, as an important component of the Gamma Knife, has the role of assisting doctors and engineers in the precise positioning of the radiation source.
