As of 16:00 on May 17, six overseas rescue teams from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Russia, South Korea, and Singapore have arrived in the disaster area to carry out rescue operations. Among them, a rescue team of 20 people from Hong Kong, China, 22 people from Taiwan, and 51 people from Russia carried out rescue operations in Mianzhu City. Two groups of 60 professional rescue teams from Japan carried out rescue operations in Qingchuan and Beichuan. A 47-member rescue team from South Korea and a 55-member rescue team from Singapore carried out rescue operations in Shifang City.
