At the exhibition, the LEGO Mindstorm EV3 intelligent robot attracted everyone's attention and was dominant.
The most important feature of EV3 is that it can be programmed without the use of a computer: EV3 is equipped with a "smart brick", which allows users to edit various commands for their robots. In the past, users could only do this through a computer. Once programmed, the user needed to download the program to the robot via a cable. But now, EV3 doesn't need a computer at all. (That's not a good feature, NXT already has one.)
The Mindstorms EV3 will be available in the second half of 2013 for $349, and so far, the "smart brick" platform for building robots is available in nine languages, including Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish. It's currently available at retail in China for around $3,500 online.
