There are many headaches: creativity, architecture, layout, color, details, pictures and so on.
But thinking is the most useful and headache.
So, according to my experience, I think the process of PPT should be:
1. I didn't think about anything at first, didn't check the information, didn't touch the computer. Instead, write an outline on paper with a pen. Of course, it is best to simply draw a logical structure diagram. The finer the better.
2, open the PPT, don't use any template, your outline according to a title page. I used to pursue perfection. First, it took more than half an hour to touch the board. Dissatisfied and revised in the process, revised after writing, and even completely overturned-time-consuming and laborious! ! )
3. With the whole structured PPT (the bottom page/content is blank, only each page has a title), you can start to look up the information, write the content suitable for the title expression or copy it from the Internet, slightly trim the text, and use the item number to make the content of each page into the main points. Of course, in the process of looking up information, you may find new information, which is very useful, but it is not within your outline.
4. See what can be plotted in PPT, such as numbers, processes, causality, obstacles, trends, time, juxtaposition, order, etc. , are considered to be represented by pictures. If there is too much content or it can't be expressed in pictures, use "tables" to express it. I really can't, so I'll explain it in words. So the best expression order is: figure-table-word. It doesn't matter whether the picture is beautiful or not in this process. "Rough" doesn't matter. The key is whether the picture you use is accurate or not.
5, choose the right host, according to your PPT mood, choose different color combinations. If you feel that the master that comes with office is not suitable, make adjustments in the master view, and add background pictures, Logo, decorative pictures, etc. In fact, I haven't studied the choice of main colors for so many years. It is said that different colors will bring different emotional impacts to people. Professional books are full of nonsense theories, but I will decide according to my emotions. Of course, if you have the company's own standard template, don't bother, just use it.
6. Adjust the size and itself of the title and text, and the proper position in the master view.
7. According to the owner's tone, beautify the picture, adjust the color, shadow, three-dimensional, lines, beautify the table and highlight the text. Note that in this process, grasp the color of the whole PPT should not exceed 3 color systems! Otherwise, your PPT will be particularly messy, especially "earth"!
8. Beautify the page and see where you should put a decorative painting. Pictures can be found online. It is recommended to use Google's image search (preferably in English). The use principle of decorative painting is "in line with the theme of the page, and the size and color cannot dominate!"
9. Finally, in the screening state, read through by yourself. If it is not suitable or satisfactory, adjust it and correct the typo!
10 Do you think this is over? Don't! Pay attention to the typo! You changed in the last step, but it's not enough! Do you know what it's like to have a fly in your meal? Just watching PPT and seeing typos! Moreover, readers are generally bosses or customers, and they will be very skeptical about their professionalism and work attitude. The first 99% of the work has been done well, but your impression on readers may be destroyed by this 1% error! So, check PPT for colleagues or friends. If the document is important, it is recommended that 2-3 colleagues check it.
