Visa information for Lithuania:
Foreign nationals applying for any type of Lithuanian visa are required to provide the following documents:
1) Valid passport for departure from Lithuania;
2) Qualified application form;
3. A recent photo (35*45mm).
Applications for diplomatic and official visas also require an application form issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassy, consulate or other international organizations.
Applications for transit visas also require:
1. A visa or certificate indicating that the applicant is allowed to enter a neighboring country of Lithuania;
2. Payment of the visa fee.
Applications for multiple transit visas require relevant documents proving the necessity of multiple transit.
Application for a group transit visa requires submission of a letter of application for this type of visa (including the full name of the leader of the group, date of entry and exit, purpose of the visit, route of the trip, full name of the person in charge of the organization and his/her contact number).
The Lithuanian visa organization has the right to ask the applicant to submit other documents.
Notices for entering the country:
1. A valid international travel document, valid for not less than 90 days prior to the date of intended departure, must be provided to the border guard.
2. If you plan to stay in the country for more than 90 days in a year, you should enter the country with a special visa.
3. Children under the age of 18 must enter the country with their parents, either parent or their legal representatives, but they may enter the country alone if they are reunited with their parents, either parent or their legal representatives.
4. The border checkpoints may issue ordinary and transit visas to the following persons: persons coming to the country to attend meetings of governmental departments, persons in urgent need of medical assistance, and members of the crews of airplanes.
5. If a person enters the country with a vehicle, he/she must provide his/her driver's license, vehicle documents and vehicle maintenance documents. The entrant is also required to purchase a one-time, not less than 15-day vehicle civil security insurance from an insurance company authorized by the Ministry of Finance at the border, which is valid only within the territory of the State.
Customs regulations:
1. Items to be declared on entry:
(1) Tobacco, tobacco products of more than 200 cigarettes or 250 grams;
(2) Strong liquors and excitatory beverages of more than 1 liter, and the person who enters the country with them has to be 18 years old or above;
(3) Wine, champagne of more than 2 liters;
(4) More than 3 liters of beer;
(5) 500 grams of chocolate or food containing cocoa;
(6) More than 1,000 grams of other food;
(7) More than 2 boxes (bottles) of cosmetics, daily-use chemical products;
(8) More than 25 grams of jewelry for non-personal use;
(9) More than 1 (including) or more automobiles or other means of transportation.
Only one entry of the above declared items is allowed within 3 days.
2. Items declared for entry and for which a permit from an authorized Lithuanian authority is required:
(1) meat products such as canned meat, etc., of 1 kg (inclusive) or more;
(2) plants such as flowers, etc., or plants for decorative purposes, of 2 kg (inclusive) or more;
(3) food products of plants, etc. of 1 kg (inclusive) or more;
(4) old automobile tires (of more than 1 kg) or other vehicles, etc., of more than 1 kg (inclusive).
2. ) or more used automobile tires (except automobile tires in use);
(5) Coal (poison) gas spraying equipment (the permit to bring out and bring in are both valid);
(6) 1 (including) or more air pistols;
(7) 2 (including) or more boxes of air pistol bullets;
(8) 1 (including) or more air pistols with calibers of not more than 4.5 mm. air pistol.
Only the above declared items can be brought into the country once within 3 days, but entry by air and sea is not subject to this rule.
3. Items to be declared on departure:
(1) items for non-private use, vehicles and their related documents with a total value of more than 5,000 litas;
(2) items of a total value of less than 5,000 litas, for which a permit from the authorized authorities of the Lithuanian State is required;
(3) other items voluntarily declared by the person departing the country.
4. Regulations on Carrying Currency
(1) If cash or securities of equal value, stocks, etc. under LTL 10,000 (EUR 1 = LTL 3.4528) are carried into or out of the country, they shall be declared voluntarily;
(2) if cash or securities of equal value, stocks, etc. over LTL 10,000 (EUR 1 = LTL 3.4528) are carried into or out of the country, they shall be declared.
(3) It is strictly prohibited to carry more than LTL 500,000 (EUR 1 = LTL 3.4528) in cash or equivalent foreign currency out of the country, except for commemorative coins;
5. Transit goods do not need to be declared.
6. Due to frequent changes in customs declaration regulations, specific declaration items are subject to the customs declaration form.
