Are Africans poor?

Not really. Africa is divided into North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa referred to as Black Africa, with the Sahara Desert as the boundary.

Africa's 55 countries, the development is very unbalanced, North Africa is dominated by Arabs, relative to black Africa is relatively rich, than China's big cities may be worse, but than some of the second and third-tier cities are still comparable to some countries such as Tunisia, the degree of affluence is even equivalent to Europe. At least 9 per capita GDP more than China, such as Libya before the war, per capita GDP is China's 2 times;

Black Africa most of the relatively backward, the degree of development is the level of China in the early nineties, and the construction of the lack of overall planning, infrastructure is old and backward, basically the continuation of the European colonial period at the same time the facilities. Due to the lack of modern factories, and manufacturing, most of the goods need to be imported, the price of goods is generally too high, that is why there are a lot of people from China to sell goods back home. And it is worth mentioning that Africans are generally mercantile, few people engaged in industry, keen to buy and sell.

There are also very poor people in the Congo, Sudan, Rwanda and Ethiopia who are of course so poor that they are starving to death.

Africa is poor because:

1, Africa has the world's largest desert, the Sahara Desert, which occupies 1/4 of the area of Africa, and the land in Africa is mostly wilderness and grassland, which is very barren and most of it is not suitable for farming, so from ancient times to the present day, Africans have not been able to improve their lives, education and medical care, and have not formed an advanced civilization.

2, Africa in ancient and modern times, are conservative European aggression. Europe is the world's first industrialization, has a strong military power, so go to Europe to capture cheap labor to serve as slaves, which makes the original poor Africa even worse.
