In order to fully integrate domestic pediatric medical service resources, the National Health and Family Planning Commission established the National Children's Medical Center, with Beijing Children's Hospital as the main body and Fudan University Pediatric Hospital and Shanghai Children's Medical Center affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine as the joint institutions, to play the role of mentor, promote the flow of high-quality medical resources, and gradually realize the homogenization of pediatric level in various places. Yesterday, the center was established in Beijing and Shanghai. According to the plan of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, the National Children's Medical Center will undertake the task of diagnosis and treatment of difficult and critical diseases in pediatrics in China, and demonstrate and promote appropriate and effective high-level diagnosis and treatment technologies; Assist the National Health Planning Commission in formulating the national plan for the prevention and treatment of pediatric diseases, and compile guidelines, technical specifications and related standards for the prevention and treatment of pediatric diseases; Organize standardized training for pediatric residents and specialists, and cultivate clinical technical backbones and academic leaders; Integrate existing resources, establish a national monitoring information system for children's major diseases registration, related epidemiology and public health information, regularly carry out data analysis, predict the incidence and death of pediatric diseases, the prevalence and development trend of risk factors, organize nationwide multi-center and large-sample clinical research in a targeted manner, and timely translate clinical research results at home and abroad into clinical applications.
The National Children's Medical Center will set up six national children's regional medical centers according to the number of children served in the covered areas and administrative areas. In principle, in North China (Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia), Northeast China (Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang), East China (Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi and Shandong), Central South (Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan) and Southwest China (Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou and Hainan). With the establishment of the National Children's Medical Center, children's medical research will be carried out more smoothly throughout the country.
