Anhui Chemical School is a national key secondary school directly under the Department of Education of Anhui Province, and the only chemical school in Anhui Province. The school is located in the historical and cultural city of Anqing, under the Candle Mountain and on the shore of Shimen Lake.
The school covers an area of 345 acres, all kinds of building area of more than 50,000 square meters, complete infrastructure, excellent school conditions: with chemical and electromechanical instrumentation of two experimental buildings, the collection of more than 100,000 books of the library, metalworking internship plant; equipped with simulation laboratories, multi-media classrooms, computer centers, voice rooms, classrooms, closed-circuit television and other modernized teaching systems, the opening of the campus network; with auditoriums, stadiums, standardized track and field sports.

The school now has more than 130 full-time teachers, of whom more than 50 have senior titles, 51 have the qualification of national vocational skills appraisal assessor, and 4 have the qualification of national vocational skills appraisal supervisor. Now there are 20 majors such as chemical process, industrial analysis and inspection, chemical instrumentation and automation, chemical machinery and equipment, accounting, computer application, electromechanical technology application. The academic system includes five-year senior college (3+2) from junior high school, three-year junior college, and one-year senior college. It has seven training bases, including chemical analysis, chemical process, energy and environmental protection, chemical instrumentation and automation, polymer process, calculation center and machining center (among them, chemical process and energy and environmental protection training bases are national demonstration training bases supported by the central government), one chemical industry-specific skills appraisal station and one general engineering skills appraisal station, which can carry out more than ten kinds of skills training and appraisal work for the society. The school has also built a "Chemical Industry Specialty Skill Appraisal Station". The school also has a "Chizhou College Correspondence Station", which is engaged in correspondence education at undergraduate and specialized levels, with more than 1,300 students at present. In recent years, through school-enterprise cooperation, the school has provided "order training" for a large number of talents for many large and famous enterprises in and out of the province.
