What is a planetary gear reducer?

Planetary gear reducer is also known as planetary reducer, gear reducer. Number of stages: number of sets of planetary gears. Since one set of planetary gears can not meet the larger ratio, sometimes 2 or 3 sets are needed to meet the requirement of embracing larger ratio. Due to the increase in the number of planetary gears, the length of the 2-stage or 3-stage reducer will be increased and the efficiency will be decreased.

Return clearance: When the output is fixed and the input is rotated clockwise and counterclockwise so that the input produces +-2% of the rated torque, there is a small angular displacement at the input end of the speed reducer, and this angular displacement is the return clearance. The unit is "minute", which is one sixtieth of a degree. It is also called backlash.
