What goods imported without customs duties

In general, the following items are imported without tariffs:

1. goods listed in the Import and Export Tariff Schedule that are imported free of duty;

2. gratuitous gifts from foreign governments and international organizations;

3. gifts from foreign groups and individuals, as well as donations from overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots for public welfare;

4. goods for disaster relief;

5. equipment and articles for the exclusive use of disabled persons, as well as machinery and equipment imported by welfare factories for the disabled;

6. foreign institutions enjoying diplomatic privileges and exemptions.

7. Imported goods that have suffered damage prior to release by the Customs and have been granted a reduction or exemption of duty;

9. Goods imported after importation that have been granted a reduction or exemption of duty;

9. Imported without processing, bonded storage of less than 90 days of transit re-export of goods;

11. Granted duty-free imports of direct military orders;

12. By the State Council and the General Administration of Customs authorized by the exemption of supervision and handling fees of other tax exemptions and bonded goods.
