Cervical cancer hpv screening and tct

There are some similarities between cervical cancer hpv screening and TCT.

hpv is a key pathogen causing gynecological diseases in women, and TCT is a liquid-based thin layer cell test, TCT test is to know the status of lesions at the cytological level, the relative nature is more objective and accurate. tct and hpv are non-invasive tests, the widespread use of tct in conjunction with the hpv virus test is the key way to clear the cervical lesions, usually the cervical cancer screening is proposed to do 2 of them.

Cervical cancer screening is recommended to begin at age 25, followed by early screening HPV testing every 5 years until age 65 (preferred). If early screening HPV testing is not available, you can have a combination test (HPV test + cytology) every 5 years or receive cytology every 3 years. There is also the possibility of not continuing cervical cancer screening for those older than 65 years who do not have grade ≥2 cervical intraepithelial neoplasia within the past 25 years and who are also screen-eligible within 10 years. Screening-eligible means that screening was performed at the recommended frequency, along with two consecutive negative HPV tests or two consecutive negative co-tests or three consecutive negative cytologic tests.
