Doctor Stranger Drama Synopsis

Doctor Stranger is a monthly drama series broadcast by SBS in South Korea since May 5, 2014, starring Lee Jong Suk and Chan Se Yeon in a medical romance spy drama. Doctor Stranger tells the story of the male protagonist, Park Hoon, who was kidnapped to North Korea along with his childhood father, and was trained by his father to become a brilliant thoracic surgeon, and after leaving the North, he returns to work at a top hospital in South Korea, but is unable to integrate into the team of doctors and becomes a complete stranger in a strange land. Doctor Stranger Episode 1

The United States is going to attack North Korea, there will be a war on the Korean Peninsula in the near future, and Park Chul, who is a thoracic surgeon, plays a crucial role in the political war, and the Ministry of National Defense finds him.

As war is about to break out, the citizens of South Korea are in a state of panic and have begun a mad rush to buy food. As a highly skilled doctor, Park Chul can stop the war from breaking out if he saves North Korean President Kim Il Sung, who has no choice but to take his young son, Park Hoon, to North Korea.

Park Chul does everything he can to save Kim Il Sung in front of a huge crowd, and his son, Park Hoon, who witnessed his father's surgery, adores him. Park Hoon and Song Jae-hee, another young girl his age, present flowers to Kim Il-sung as flower girls. The two youngsters fall in love with each other.

Although Park Chul saved the president's life and became a hero of North Korea, the mastermind of the incident, Jang Suk-ju, was afraid that Park Chul would compete with him for the credit, so he sent someone to secretly kill Park Chul and his son, and the assassin was grateful for Park Chul's saving of the country and the people, and he let him go for his own selfish reasons.

Years passed, and Park Hoon grew up to be a handsome young man, and proposed to Jae-hee. Jae-hee's father invites Park Hoon to his home. Park Hoon dresses up and is about to go, but his father convinces him to treat a patient, and under his father's tutelage, Park Hoon becomes more and more skillful. When Park Hoon arrives at Jae-hee's house, he finds Jae-hee absent and the house in a state of disarray. Park Hoon applies for exile from the Korean embassy to get out of the country, and asks a friend of his father's to get him the fake death pill. Jae-hee wakes up looking for her dad, and Park Hoon is afraid to tell her the truth. Park Hoon puts the fake death drug in Jae Hee's eyes, when Cha Jin Soo comes to the hospital room and warns that if Park Hoon applies for exile, he will make both Park Hoon and Jae Hee disappear. Cha Jin-soo reminds the bodyguard to keep an eye on Park Hoon and Jae-hee, and that if he messes up, then this introduction of the device will also fail.

Jang Suk-joo's election is approaching, and his secretary suddenly reminds him that Park Hoon is in Korea right now on a medical exchange. The red alert goes off, Jae Hee's heart stops beating, and Cha Jin Suh angrily confronts Park Hoon. Park Hoon takes the opportunity to save Jae Hee and gives her an antidote, and Jae Hee wakes up successfully. However, Cha Jin-soo also sends someone to come after them, so Park Hoon tries his best to escape with Jae-hee on his motorcycle. Park Hoon has no choice but to take Jae Hee with him as he continues to flee, and the two escape to the river where they are surrounded by North Korean soldiers. Jae-hee was shot and fell into the river to save Park Hoon. At the critical moment, Secretary Kim shot Cha Jin-su from a distance, and then the police suddenly appeared to save Jae-hee.

Two years later, Seoul. Park Hoon has been living in Seoul for two years and has opened his own clinic. Park Hoon and Lee Chang-ri, a girl who left the country, have become close friends and partners. Lee works hard at her job and her greatest wish is to bring her mother from North Korea to Seoul. Mr. Lim, a leader of the defector organization, helps Lee Chang-li find her mother and brings her to Chang-li. Mother and daughter embrace and Chang-li leaves after paying Mr. Lim. Mr. Lim has long traded with the North Koreans, buying up the people his employers need. Mr. Lim tells Park Hoon that Jae Hee has been taken back by the North Koreans and that he can bring her to Seoul, but for a sum of money. Mr. Lim takes Park Hoon to the basement and shows him video footage of Jae Hee. Jae-hee is in a prison uniform with a disheveled face and keeps calling out Park Hoon's name. Park Hoon is saddened by Jae Hee's suffering and decides to work hard to earn money to bring Jae Hee back.

Jang Suk-joo became the Premier of the State Council, but he was not satisfied with his position. As Jang Suk-joo's heart condition worsens, Secretary Kim reminds him that he might be able to get an operation from Park Hoon.

In a large hospital in Seoul, Han Jae-joon, a young returned doctor, becomes the head of the thoracic surgery department and is favored by the head of the department for his artistry.
