The swimming competition area has a standard competition pool and a training pool. The standard competition pool is 50m long, 25m wide and 3m deep, with 10 lane and 8 take-off platforms at both ends. The training pool is 25m long, 12.5m wide and 1.5-2.2m deep, with five lanes. There are guest seats and audience seats in the south and north of the swimming competition area respectively, which can accommodate 1200 spectators.
There is a diving pool in the diving competition area, which is 23.5 meters long, 2 1 meter wide and 5.5 meters deep. Four groups of 1m springboard, four groups of 3m springboard, one platform at south end 1m, one platform at 3m for single person, one platform at 3m for double person, two platforms at 5m for single person, one platform at 7m for double person and one platform at north end 10m. The platform is equipped with hydraulic elevators, which can transport athletes to 3m, 5m, 7m and 10m platforms. The east and west sides of the platform competition area are audience areas, which can accommodate 900 spectators.
The 50m competition pool, 25m training pool and diving pool are equipped with circulating filtration water quality processors developed by Guangzhou Institute of Energy, Chinese Academy of Sciences, respectively, and the pool water meets the indoor pool water quality standards. At the same time, a layout heater is installed on the water quality processor, and the pool water is heated by the heat generated by the central air conditioning unit, so that the water temperature meets the standard requirements and can be used for training and competition all year round.
Two-color electronic display screens with an area of 51.92m2 (1.8m * 4.4m) and17.04m2 (6.13m * 2.78m) are set in the swimming pool competition area and diving competition area, respectively. The whole timing and scoring system adopts Switzerland. At present, the swimming pool can meet the requirements of international swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo and webbed swimming.
There are also functional rooms in the swimming competition area and diving area, such as athletes' lounge, judges' lounge, VIP lounge, computer room, arranger recording room, doping control room, reporter's studio, post and telecommunications studio, medical room, timing and scoring system room, speaker control room, lighting control room, TV and radio relay room, underwater observation gallery and so on. Each function room is also equipped with broadband information interface, which can send information synchronously and provide perfect modern service for competition work.
