The punching timer is divided into electromagnetic point timer and spark timer.
1, electromagnetic striking timer
Electromagnetic striking timer is a kind of instrument that can strike dots on the paper tape in sequence within the same time interval. When the coil of the electromagnetic striking timer is energized, the coil generates a magnetic field, the vibrating piece in the coil is magnetized, and the vibrating piece moves upward or downward under the action of the magnetic field of the permanent magnet. As the direction of the alternating current changes twice in each cycle, the magnetized poles of the vibrating piece will change periodically, and the direction of the force exerted on it by the permanent magnet will also change periodically.
2, spark timer
The timing principle of spark timer is the same as that of electromagnetic timer. However, instead of vibrating needles and copy paper, the dot timer is charged with an electric spark and toner. When 220V power is connected to the EDM dot timer and the pulse output switch is pressed, the pulse current from the timer connects the positive discharge needle and toner tray to the negative tray shaft, resulting in a spark discharge.
