How to treat dry eyes?

Dry eye, whose full name is Dry Eye Syndrome, is a condition in which tiny scars appear on the surface of the eye due to a decrease in the number of tears or a decrease in the functioning of the meibomian glands. Dry eye syndrome has itchy eyes, dry eyes, eye foreign body sensation and other uncomfortable symptoms, but the eye surface is good. Survey results show that 31.2% of people who often use computers are diagnosed with dry eye, and the incidence of dry eye patients is as high as 44% every time students return to school from vacation. However, a survey found that due to the lack of relevant eye care knowledge, many people choose the preventive measures are not scientific. Among them, the excessive use of eye medication is one of the most easy to step into the misunderstanding.

But expert opinion is not optimistic: eye medication is not a scientific solution to "dry eye".

"Dry eyes" is caused by long-term exposure to fluorescent screen radiation, bright light, exhaust fumes and other external pollution and the symptoms of dry and sore eyes, if you do not pay attention to, will lead to vision loss and easy to cause eye diseases. But "dry eyes" is just a lack of eye care, rather than caused by bacterial infection. Therefore, most eye medicines that are designed to kill bacteria are not suitable for dry eyes and have little preventive effect.

The bigger problem with eye drops is that the human eye can easily develop resistance to them, and the World Health Organization ranked eye drops second in its list of all drugs that are most susceptible to resistance.

1) "Dry eye" the most fundamental preventive measures to avoid contact with fluorescent radiation, exhaust fumes and other sources of pollution.

2) Attention to eye moisturizing is the best prevention method. Usually pay attention to eye habits, regular breaks, continuous time in front of the computer screen should not be too long, every hour to rest 5 - 10 minutes, as far as possible in the gap to let the eyes relax far away. Eyes are inward and downward looking, so when resting, try to let the eyes to the upper left and upper right to see. People should also move their neck and shoulder muscles when resting, because stiff and disorganized neck muscles can affect vision.

3) Protecting the eyes must pay attention to the dietary structure. Supplement more vitamin A, C, D, eat more carrots, fruits, seafood and so on. This improvement will effectively reduce people's resistance to eye medication, which is conducive to prompting more people to accept and develop eye care habits.
