This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the Water Pollution Prevention Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Marine Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, protect the ecological environment, safeguard human health, and standardize relevant technical requirements for sewage monitoring.

This standard specifies the technical requirements for manual monitoring of sewage, such as monitoring scheme formulation, sampling location, monitoring sampling, sample preservation, transportation and handover, monitoring items and analysis methods, monitoring data processing, quality assurance and quality control, etc.

This standard is the revision of Technical Specification for Surface Water and Sewage Monitoring (HJ/T 9 1-2002). This standard was first published in 2002, and the original standard was drafted by China National Environmental Monitoring Center. This is the first revision, and the main revisions are as follows:

-The monitoring plan has been added;

-Appendix A is added, which gives the requirements for sampling and water sample preservation of common sewage monitoring projects;

—— Deleted environmental protection acceptance monitoring, emergency monitoring, data collation, etc. After the construction project sewage treatment facilities are completed;

-The expression of sewage content in the scope of application, terms and definitions has been revised;

-sampling sites, monitoring sampling, analysis methods, monitoring data processing, quality assurance and quality control have been improved.

Close the content. Since the implementation of this standard, the part related to sewage monitoring in the national environmental protection standard Technical Specification for Surface Water and Sewage Monitoring (HJ/T9 1-2002) has been abolished.

This standard is drafted by China National Environmental Monitoring Center, Nanjing Environmental Monitoring Center of Jiangsu Province, Henan Environmental Monitoring Center and china environmental science Research Institute.

This standard was approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on February 24, 2009.

This standard shall be implemented as of March 24, 2020.

This standard is interpreted by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
