What are the types and characteristics of hyperbaric oxygen chambers?

Hyperbaric oxygen chamber is a special equipment for hyperbaric oxygen therapy, mostly made of steel. Due to the different scope of application. Compression chambers have different forms, but they are basically the same. There are two main types.

① Oxygen compression chamber: including single and double cabins for adults and oxygen cabins for infants. This cabin is small and can only accommodate one patient. Hyperbaric oxygen is directly filled in the cabin, and the patient inhales pure oxygen in the cabin. So it can also be called pure oxygen cabin. The pure oxygen cabin is characterized by low cost and convenient transportation, which is used for general treatment and is not conducive to the rescue of critically ill patients.

② Air compression cabin: the cabin has a large volume, and the whole cabin consists of 2-3 cabins, which are called operation cabin, treatment cabin and transition cabin respectively. Pressurized with compressed air, the patient wears a mask and inhales oxygen in the cabin. Surgery, treatment, rescue and other medical work can be carried out in the cabin. This large cabin is conducive to treating a group of patients at the same time, allowing medical staff to enter the cabin to care for the patients, which is conducive to the rescue and treatment of dying patients, but the cost is relatively expensive.
