Note: 1, the use of hand-controlled mode, the staff shall not leave, so as not to cause children burned or frostbite.
2, the operator should be based on clinical requirements, the correct choice and timely adjustment of the proportion of heating output.
3. In the hand-controlled mode, the proportion of heating output is fixed and is not controlled by the skin temperature measured by the skin temperature sensor,
so it is necessary to pay close attention to the fluctuation of the patient's body temperature.
4. An audible and visual alarm is issued every 15 minutes to remind the operator that the patient is in a
dangerous environment, and that the patient must be examined and his/her body temperature measured to ensure safety.
(3) Skin Temperature Mode
Skin Temperature Mode is a mode of operation in which the patient's skin temperature is automatically maintained at a set temperature value. In this mode, the system automatically adjusts the output of infrared radiant heat based on the difference between the body temperature detected by the skin temperature sensor and the set temperature, so that the thermal balance of the patient is maintained. This mode is expected to be used to maintain the patient's body temperature. To ensure patient safety, skin temperature mode is generally used.
Connection of the skin temperature sensor's probe to the surface of the patient's skin: when using the skin temperature mode, it is important to ensure that the skin temperature sensor's probe is in reliable contact with the patient's skin. The metal surface of the skin temperature sensor probe should first be wiped with medical alcohol to remove any possible dirt or grease before placing the probe in the proper position on the patient's skin. If the patient is lying on his or her back, the probe should be placed on the patient's abdomen (between the xiphoid process and the navel), chest, and other areas of the patient's body that have a large heat-sensitive area and are flat and easy to fixate, yet easy to care for, taking care to avoid the liver area; if the patient is lying on his or her back, the probe should be placed on the patient's back, preferably over the kidney area. If the patient is lying down, the probe should be placed on the patient's back, preferably over the kidneys. In order to make reliable contact between the probe and the patient's skin, it should be secured with medical tape.
Note: 1, the skin temperature sensor probe must be kept in reliable contact with the appropriate part of the patient, if the probe is detached from the
patient, the temperature measured by the sensor is not the expected patient's skin temperature, but may be the temperature of the air or the surface of the mattress, which may lead to excessive heat reception or rapid heat loss, or even burns or death.
2. Do not place the probe of the skin temperature sensor under the patient.
3. The part of the skin in contact with the patient should be the metal surface part of the probe. The probe of the skin temperature sensor should not be used as a rectal thermometer.
5, the device can not distinguish the difference between cold skin and high body temperature (fever) and the body temperature and skin temperature are low.
The temperature measured by the skin temperature sensor is only the patient's skin temperature, not the patient's actual body temperature. Therefore, it is important to take the patient's temperature at regular intervals to check for fever or obvious signs of cooling.
Setting of skin temperature control values:
The temperature is set between 36 and 370C, and the appropriate temperature is selected according to the patient's weight, gestational age, and age in days to maintain the child's skin temperature at about 36.50C
