Sterile disposable band-aid belongs to the category of second-class medical device management, and is used to care for superficial wounds such as minor wounds, abrasions and cuts.
Non-sterile disposable band-aid belongs to the first category of medical device management, and is used for first aid and temporary dressing of superficial wounds such as minor wounds, abrasions and cuts.
They are usually composed of a sheet-like or roll-like adhesive substrate, an absorbent pad, a release layer and a peelable protective layer. Among them, the absorbent pad is generally made of a material that can absorb exudate. The contained components have no pharmacological action. The ingredients contained cannot be absorbed by the human body.
Applicable certificate
It is usually used to stop bleeding, diminish inflammation or treat acute minor wounds. Especially suitable for neat and clean incision, shallow surface, small wound and no cuts, scratches or stab wounds that need to be stitched. It is easy to carry and use, and it is a necessary medical and health product for first aid in families, hospitals and clinics [3].
Relative contraindication
It is best not to use the band-aid directly in the following situations:
1. Small and deep wounds cannot be pasted.
2. Wounds bitten by animals cannot be pasted.
3. All kinds of skin boils can't be pasted.
4. heavily polluted wounds cannot be pasted.
5. Slight scratches on the epidermis do not need to be pasted.
6. People with severe trauma and contaminated wounds.
7. Stabbed by nails and knife tips.
8. When the wound is not clean or there is a foreign body in the wound.
9. When yellow water flows after scalding.
10. Wounds that have been contaminated or infected, and wounds with secretions or pus on the wound surface cannot use band-AIDS.
Application mode
Generally speaking, there is no need to use a band-aid if it is only a slight skin scratch. Just apply it with iodine or alcohol to prevent infection. You can also apply a thin layer of purple potion to make the wound scab and dry after two or three days.
If the skin wound is deep and unconditionally treated, it needs to be rinsed with water before sticking.
