Nadezhda later notices that her son often feels bad, and she can even feel the pain and suffering that he is subjected to as well. When the nuclear submarine sank in Kursk, Poleska suffered from pain all over his body, and when the "Beslan hostage incident" occurred, he suffered even more, refusing to go to school on those days.
