What are the classification and treatment methods of medical waste?

The centralized medical waste disposal unit is responsible for the classification and disposal of medical waste. In rural areas with conditions for centralized disposal of medical wastes, medical and health institutions shall, in accordance with the requirements of the health administrative department and the environmental protection administrative department of the people's government at the county level, dispose of the medical wastes generated by them on the spot. Self-disposal of medical wastes shall meet the following basic requirements:
