Helicopter gunships and attack aircraft
Helicopter gunships are used for anti-armor combat and are a deadly threat to large enemy tank clusters! Armed helicopters have a high degree of concealment, maneuverability and flexibility, and can perform tasks such as supporting ground detachments in combat and air security escorts! But the helicopter gunships also have its defects, first of all, the helicopter gunships flying altitude bottom, man-portable anti-aircraft missiles, anti-aircraft machine guns, man-portable rocket-propelled grenade launchers and even rifles can pose a fatal threat to it! Secondly, helicopter gunships have a short combat radius and cannot perform long-range support missions! Attack aircraft are a type of combat force used to specialize in ground attack missions, and are customarily called attack aircraft in Western countries and strong-armed aircraft in socialist countries. Attack aircraft are designed to attack enemy armored clusters, strategic and tactical hubs, and living forces on the ground, so almost all attack aircraft are not capable of air-to-air combat. This results in the necessity of having a certain number of fighter planes to escort attack aircraft when they are sent out to fight. Attack aircraft can usually carry aerial bombs, aerial rockets, and air-to-ground missiles, and are equipped with high-velocity aerial machine guns. The bomb load is usually three to four tons! Attack aircraft are gradually being replaced by fighter-bombers with the changes in the shape of modern warfare and the development of aviation technology.
