Article 12 The people's governments at or above the county level shall, relying on the advantages of natural resources in the administrative region, encourage the development of traditional Chinese medicine health tourism services, develop traditional Chinese medicine health tourism products and routes, the construction of the integration of Chinese herbal medicine planting, traditional Chinese medicine health services, cultural landscape tourism, traditional fitness exercise, dietary therapy in one of the traditional Chinese medicine health tourism bases, traditional Chinese medicine health tourism area. (1) Promoting the construction of key production areas for Chinese medicinal herbs, and establishing industrial belts for planting and breeding of Chinese medicinal herbs in the Wuling Mountain Range, the Xuefeng Mountain Range, the Nanling Mountain Range, the Luoxiao Mountain Range, and the Rim of Dongting Lake;
(2) Compiling a catalog of the local and characteristic medicinal herbs in Hunan;
(3) Evaluating the breeding and planting bases of good seeds of Hunan's local and characteristic medicinal herbs and strengthening the construction of ecological planting bases;
(d) establishing a germplasm resource bank and a strategic reserve bank of Hunan's local and characteristic medicinal herbs.
The people's governments at or above the county level and their relevant departments shall establish and improve the technical service system for planting and breeding of Chinese herbal medicines; cultivate, protect and promote the well-known brands of Hunan local herbal medicines, and support the declaration of Hunan local and characteristic varieties of Chinese herbal medicines as protected products with geographical indications and certified trademarks of geographical indications.
