Notes on medical conditions and health insurance
Sanitary conditions in Nepal are poor. The lack of environmental protection facilities and the large number of mosquitoes breeding, so malaria, encephalitis, Guinea worm disease, river blindness, hepatitis in Ni; typhoid fever, cholera is also prevalent; HIV carriers for the country's population of 8%. For historical reasons, the country relies on the importation of major medical equipment and medicines, and there is a serious shortage of medicine and health care and conditions that need to be improved. There are almost no large general and specialized hospitals. Most of the hospitals and clinics run by local people lack medical equipment and the level of sterilization is not up to the standard; there are not many clinics run by foreigners and the charges are expensive, so the general public can't have access to medical treatment. In recent years, a number of Chinese citizens have died of malaria, falls, acute nephritis and other illnesses that were not treated in a timely and appropriate manner. In addition to receiving vaccinations against all African infectious diseases in China, Chinese nationals should bring some commonly used medicines, such as Qingpaixin and Cortexin, etc., before coming to Indonesia. Medicine is very expensive, a small box of Cortexin costs 6 dollars. Therefore, you should bring medicine in China, not too much, customs prohibited entry. Pay attention to the routine of life, do not overwork!
There is no health insurance.
Security situation
Ni political instability. Chinese nationals (especially those who do not speak English and have no relatives) should not travel alone. Chinese citizens who have already entered the country are advised not to go out at night; those who need to go out should carry some cash money with them; if you encounter criminals, do not resist, hand over your money in exchange for your life, and report to the police afterwards. It is better to rent a room in an apartment because there are security guards guarding the door. The communication is backward, it is best to carry a cell phone at all times, in order to contact with the outside world in a timely manner.
Traffic safety and travel precautions
Except for the new city of Abuja (the capital), the roads, bridges, and transportation facilities in other cities are in disrepair and lack minimum maintenance. Chinese nationals traveling for the first time or temporarily in Nigeria should preferably be transported by their relatives, friends or host organizations. Chinese nationals living and working in Nigeria for a long time are advised to hire a local driver.
Other noteworthy issues
1, there are three overseas Chinese organizations in Nigeria, Chinese citizens can also contact them, they are:
Nigeria China Peaceful Reunification Promotion Association (NCPRA)
China (Nigeria) Industry and Commerce Federation (NICCF)
Nigeria (Lagos) China Business Association (NICBA)
2, the country is poorer than Nigeria, and it is better to hire a local driver.
Nigeria (Lagos) Chinese Business Association
Nigeria (Lagos) Chinese Business Association
Nigeria (Lagos) Chinese Business Association
Nigeria (Lagos) Chinese Business Association
Nigeria (Lagos) Chinese Business Association
2.
3, Chinese citizens in Nigeria lost documents, accidents at work, civil disputes and criminal cases, or learned of the disappearance of Chinese citizens, death and other circumstances should be promptly reported to the Embassy and Consulates.
4. When a Chinese citizen dies in Nepal, the transportation of his body back to the mainland is expensive and the requirements for embalming are very strict. The general practice is to cremate the ashes on the spot and bring them back. Courier companies do not undertake the delivery of ashes.
5, in business activities, do not borrow local accounts, office facilities. To follow the "one hand to pay, one hand to deliver" principle of safe buying and selling, the payment is not in place, never to ship to avoid being swindled.
6, Chinese laborers and employed companies after the spear, in addition to seeking help from the embassy or consulate, should promptly contact the domestic unit.
7, alert to the infamous "419" fraud. The fraud is defined by the Nigerian Penal Code, Chapter 419 and so named, that is, criminals in an unsolicited letter or fax that there is a large sum of money to be remitted to Nigeria, the need to use a bank account number in order to help raise the funds, and a percentage of the commission will be paid to the person who provided the account number and help to raise the funds; however, before that, in order to transfer the funds, a fee is required to pay in advance. This is why the scam is also known as a pre-payment scam. Citizens should be wary of such communications and ignore them.
8. Citizens should not show their passports to anyone they are not familiar with, including the police, when they go out. You may leave your passport in your room when you go out and carry a copy of your passport with you to protect yourself from extortion or loss of your passport.
Life Preparation: Nigeria has a savannah climate with some tropical rainforest climate. Climatic conditions are hot and humid. Clothing is mainly short shirts. Bring sunscreen, lots of it, there is none over there.
Well, the above is pretty good, I'll add some more.
Live you are happy there!
