B-type residual current protector fully considers the characteristics of electromagnetic compatibility of frequency converter and effectively solves the leakage protection problem of electrical equipment of three-phase rectifier. The residual current protector does not detect the load current of the inverter, but can detect the residual current (leakage current) of the protective ground wire PE in the main loop.
B-full current residual current protection type
Type B residual current protector shall have the following characteristics:
1, there is no action at the moment of power transmission;
2. During the long-term operation of the equipment, the action value of leakage protection is 300mA.
3. It is completely applicable to the case that the residual current contains DC component.
As early as 1992, IEC classified residual current protectors into three types according to their operating characteristics: AC, A and B.
Ac type-can reliably cut off the residual current of AC sine wave that is suddenly applied or slowly rising.
Type A —— For the AC sine wave residual current that is suddenly applied or slowly rising, the pulsating DC residual current and the pulsating DC residual current are superimposed by 0.006A, and the smooth DC can reliably trip.
For example: Siemens 5SM series leakage protection switch, type B, rated current 16-63A.
If you don't have the conditions to install a special residual current protector, you don't need to install a leakage protection switch at the front end of the inverter. However, in order to meet the safety standards, the inverter must be reliably grounded, and the conductor cross-sectional area of the grounding wire should be twice that of the ordinary grounding wire or at least 10mm2 to avoid personal injury.
