Industrial design (undergraduate, four years, science and technology)
Professional profile: this major is one of the first eight universities to set up a major in industrial design, with the right to grant a master's degree in industrial design engineering. Starting from consumer demand, the program specializes in design research and practice throughout the life cycle of product development, including market research, design conception, functional analysis, structural design, form design, interaction design, as well as planning and product promotion. The program is characterized by a high degree of unity between technology and art, and aims to cultivate comprehensive design talents with a wide range of engineering knowledge, high artistic modeling ability, strong teamwork and innovation spirit, and a sense of market competition. Students have the ability to utilize modern design methods and means to carry out product design-oriented design, and at the same time have the ability of interactive design and comprehensive design.
Major courses: public **** basic courses, quality courses, subject foundation courses and specialized courses. Including rendering expression, color design, styling design foundation, mechanical engineering foundation, ergonomics, design materials and processes, computer-aided industrial design, industrial design methodology, CI and advertising design, marketing and technical economy.
Career Direction: Graduates can be engaged in product design and interactive design work, design promotion work, marketing work or personal entrepreneurship to start a design company in related enterprises or companies, and can also be engaged in advertising, display, packaging, corporate image design, interior design, design management and other aspects of the work.
