The medical waste referred to in these measures, refers to the medical and health institutions in the medical, preventive, health care and other related activities with direct or indirect infectious, toxic and other hazardous waste. Article 3 the municipal people's government shall strengthen the organization and leadership of medical waste collection and disposal work, establish and improve the medical waste collection, transportation and disposal system.
District (city) people's government shall combine the geographic distribution, service population and other factors, to determine the centralized collection method, establish and improve the administrative area of medical waste collection and transportation system. Article 4 The health and health departments shall implement unified supervision and management of medical waste collection, transportation, storage and disposal activities in the prevention and control of disease, and shall be responsible for guiding and supervising the classification, collection, transportation, temporary storage and handover of medical waste in medical and health institutions.
