Methods for the Management of Medical Waste in Healthcare Institutions
Article 5: Healthcare institutions shall, in accordance with the relevant national laws, administrative regulations, departmental rules and normative documents, formulate and implement rules and regulations on the management of medical waste, the workflow and requirements, the work of the personnel concerned, and the occurrence of medical waste in healthcare institutions. The emergency program for loss, leakage, proliferation and accidents in healthcare institutions. The contents include:
(1) the method of classifying and collecting medical waste at each place of generation of medical waste in the healthcare institution and the work requirements;
(2) the work system of the place of generation of medical waste in the healthcare institution, the work system of the place of temporary storage, and the work requirements of transporting the medical waste from the place of generation to the place of temporary storage;
(3) the transportation of medical waste in the healthcare institution and the delivery of medical waste to the healthcare institution;(3) the work requirements for the transportation of medical waste to the healthcare institution and the delivery of medical waste to the healthcare institution. Transportation of medical waste within the medical and health institutions and medical waste to the medical waste disposal unit of the relevant handover, registration requirements;
(d) medical waste management process of special operating procedures and the occurrence of medical waste loss, leakage, proliferation and emergency measures in the event of accidents;
(e) medical waste classification, collection, transportation, temporary storage process of occupational health and safety protection of the staff concerned.
Article VI of the medical and health institutions should be responsible for the establishment of medical waste management monitoring department or full-time (part-time) staff to perform the following duties:
(a) responsible for guiding and checking the implementation of medical waste classification, collection, transportation, temporary storage and disposal of medical waste within the institution in the process of the implementation of the work;
(b) is responsible for guiding and checking the medical waste classification, collection, transportation, temporary storage and disposal within the institution
(ii) to guide, check the medical waste classification, collection, transportation, temporary storage and disposal of occupational health and safety protection in the process of disposal within the institution;
(iii) responsible for organizing the loss, leakage, proliferation of medical waste and emergency treatment in the event of accidents;
(iv) responsible for organizing the training of medical waste management;
(v) responsible for the management of the registration of medical waste and the management of the files;
(vi) responsible for the management of the medical waste management; and p>(F) is responsible for timely analysis and treatment of other issues in medical waste management.
Article 7 of the medical and health institutions in the event of medical waste loss, leakage, proliferation and accidents, should be in accordance with the "Regulations on the Management of Medical Waste" and the provisions of these measures to take appropriate emergency measures, and within 48 hours to the local county-level people's government administrative department of health, the competent department of environmental protection administration report. After the investigation and treatment work, medical and health institutions should be investigated and treated to the local county-level people's government health administrative department, the administrative department of environmental protection report.
