Air China Baggage Regulations:
1. Checked Baggage Allowance
Each piece of checked baggage shall not be less than 2 kilograms.
The maximum weight of each piece of checked baggage shall not exceed 45 kilograms. The weight of each piece of checked baggage for international transportation is generally not more than 32 kilograms, such as more than 32 kilograms, but not more than 45 kilograms of baggage must comply with the relevant provisions of the airport of arrival and the renewal carrier.
The length, width and height of each piece of checked baggage shall not exceed 203 centimeters in length, width and height of the sum of the three sides, and shall not be less than 60 centimeters.
Checked baggage exceeding the free checked baggage allowance can be transported as checked baggage after payment of overweight baggage charges; however, baggage exceeding the maximum volume or weight cannot be transported as checked baggage and should be transported as cargo.
2, checked baggage packaging
Checked baggage should be properly packaged and secured to ensure that it can withstand a certain degree of pressure, and can be safely unloaded and transported under normal operating conditions. The packing of checked baggage should also comply with the following regulations:?
The suitcases, travel bags and handbags should be locked to avoid theft.?
Two or more duffel bags should not be bundled into one.?
Extra items should not be stuffed into checked bags.
Bamboo baskets, mesh bags, ropes, straw bags, and plastic bags must not be wrapped around baggage.?

3. Items not permitted to be checked as baggage or clipped into baggage
The following items are not suitable for transportation for the following reasons: due to the hazardous or unsafe nature of the item, or due to the weight, size, shape or nature of the item, or taking into account, including but not limited to, the type of aircraft Fragile or perishable items, and lithium batteries and other items.
4, the transport regulations of lithium batteries in passenger baggage

1. Items not to be transported as baggage

3. Firearms, ammunition, military or police implements (including major parts and components), except in accordance with the provisions of 8.1.3.10 of these conditions.

4. Controlled knives

6. Items prohibited from leaving, entering or transiting the country by laws, regulations or orders of the country concerned.
Items not allowed to be transported as checked baggage:
Passengers are not allowed to carry or place in checked baggage currency, negotiable instruments, securities, bills of exchange, fragile or perishable items, perishable items, jewelry, precious metals and their products, gold and silver products, antiques and paintings, out-of-print videos, out-of-print prints or manuscripts, samples or other valuables, important documents and information, diplomatic pouch, travel documents, computers and accessories, and other items. travel documents, computers and accessories, personal communication devices and accessories, personal electronic and digital devices and accessories that require personal care, and prescription medicines that need to be taken regularly by an individual.
7. Items Restricted for Transportation
(1) Blunt objects other than controlled knives, sharp objects and similar objects may be transported as checked baggage, provided that they are properly packed; the above items are not allowed to be brought into the passenger cabin.
(2) ? Medicines or cosmetics required during the trip, such as medicines containing alcohol, hair moisturizers and perfumes.

(10) Large musical instruments and other items that are not suitable for transportation in the cargo hold of the aircraft and whose weight and volume exceed the limitations for non-checked baggage may be brought into the passenger cabin to occupy a seat at a separate fee, and the passenger shall keep them in his/her own custody and bear sole responsibility for their safekeeping.
(11)? Lithium batteries shall not be transported as checked baggage.

8.? Checked Baggage
(1) Once baggage is delivered to China Eastern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines issues one baggage tag for each piece of checked baggage.
(2) Passengers should affix their name or other personal markings for easy identification to their baggage before it is accepted for shipment.
(3) Checked baggage will be carried on the same flight as the passenger. If under special circumstances it is not possible to carry the checked baggage on the same flight, China Eastern will inform the passenger and reschedule the checked baggage to be carried on the next flight if the capacity of the next flight permits.
(4) Checked baggage shall be packaged in suitcases or other suitable containers with intact locks and secure strapping, capable of withstanding a certain degree of pressure to ensure safe transportation under normal operating conditions; China Eastern Airlines may refuse to accept as checked baggage and/or shall not be liable for damages or breakage of baggage that is not packaged in a manner that meets the requirements.
(5) The weight of checked baggage shall not exceed 32 kilograms per piece, and the volume shall not exceed 40 x 60 x 100 centimeters; any baggage exceeding the above regulations shall be checked only with the prior consent of China Eastern Airlines.
8. Non-checked baggage
(1) The weight of each piece of non-checked baggage shall not exceed 10 kilograms, and the volume shall not exceed 25 x 45 x 56 centimeters, with the sum of the three sides not exceeding 115 centimeters.
(2) Baggage brought on board the airplane shall fit under the seat in front of the passenger or in the luggage rack on the top of the cabin, and items deemed to be too large or heavy according to the judgment of the criteria in 8.3.1 shall not be brought into the cabin.
(3) Passengers holding a First Class ticket are allowed to carry two pieces of unchecked baggage per person; passengers holding a Business Class or Economy Class ticket are allowed to carry only one piece of unchecked baggage per person.
(4) Any carry-on non-checked baggage that exceeds the above weight, number of pieces or volume limitations shall be checked as checked baggage.
9. Free Baggage Allowance
(1) The free baggage allowance includes both checked and unchecked baggage.
10, Weight-based free baggage allowance: 40 kg per person for first class passengers holding adult or child tickets; 30 kg per person for business class passengers; 20 kg per person for economy class passengers; 10 kg per person for passengers holding infant tickets. One additional infant stroller can be checked in free of charge per infant.
11.? Piecework free baggage allowance:
First class or business class passengers holding adult or child tickets are entitled to two pieces of baggage per person; the sum of the three sides of each piece of baggage does not exceed 158 centimeters, and the weight does not exceed 32 kilograms, and economy class passengers are entitled to two pieces of baggage per person; the sum of the three sides of each piece of baggage does not exceed 158 centimeters, and the weight does not exceed 23 kilograms; passengers holding infant tickets are entitled to one piece of baggage per person; the sum of the three sides of each piece does not exceed 115 centimeters, and the weight does not exceed 23 kilograms. Each passenger holding an infant ticket is entitled to one piece of baggage; the sum of the three sides of each piece of baggage shall not exceed 115 centimeters and the weight shall not exceed 23 kilograms. 12. If two or more passengers traveling on the same flight to the same destination check in their baggage at the same place, their free baggage allowance can be calculated in accordance with their respective fare classes.
13. When passengers take flights on routes with different measurement of free baggage allowance, the free baggage allowance shall be calculated in accordance with the weight or piece standard limited by the passenger ticket.
14. Passengers who "voluntarily change their routes" are entitled to a free baggage allowance. The free baggage allowance for passengers who "voluntarily change the route" shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of the free baggage allowance applicable to the fare class of the ticket after the change of the route.
15. Passengers who involuntarily change their class of travel shall enjoy free baggage allowance according to the original fare class.
16.? The free baggage allowance for interline transportation is calculated according to the relevant regulations of China Eastern Airlines and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
17. Small animals transported as baggage (except for assistance dogs carried by disabled persons) and their containers and food are not included in the free baggage allowance, they can only be transported as excess baggage, and passengers are required to pay for the weight of the small animals, their containers and food according to the applicable excess baggage rate.
18.? Disabled passenger assistive devices (including but not limited to wheelchairs) are not counted as free baggage allowance and can be transported additionally free of charge.
19.? Excess Baggage Fees
(1) The part of a passenger's checked baggage and non-checked baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance of the passenger is called excess baggage, and excess baggage fees should be paid.
(2) The excess baggage fee is collected and the excess baggage ticket is issued to the passenger.
(3)? Excess baggage rate
(4) Weight-based system: each kilogram is calculated at 1.5% of the published one-way direct adult economy class fare applicable on the day of travel.
(5) Piece-rate system: at the fixed rate published and applied by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in the Passenger Air Tariff (PAT).
20. The amount charged is in the currency of the country or region where the charge is made, with the decimal point retained to the nearest digit and the ending number rounded up.
Expanded Information
1. Declared Value of Baggage
(1) Passengers whose checked baggage is valued at more than USD 20 per kilogram can apply for the procedure of declaring the value of baggage.
(2) The declared value of checked baggage cannot exceed the actual value of the baggage itself. The declared value of baggage for each passenger is limited to a maximum of USD 2,500 (if this limit is exceeded, the passenger may purchase other social insurance products on his/her own). If China Eastern Airlines disagrees with the declared value or if the passenger refuses to accept the inspection, China Eastern Airlines has the right to refuse to accept the shipment.
(3) China Eastern Airlines shall charge a surcharge of 5‰ on the declared value of baggage according to the value of the portion of the declared value that exceeds the limit stipulated in 8.6.1 of these Conditions. The amount shall be expressed in RMB Yuan and rounded up to the nearest decimal point.
(4 ) China Eastern Airlines only accepts the passenger's declaration of value application requirement for checked baggage on its flights.
(5) China Eastern Airlines does not apply for baggage declaration value for the transportation of non-checked baggage, passengers' belongings, small animals and baggage occupying seats.
(6) ? Baggage with declared value of baggage is not counted as free baggage allowance.
2. Right to Inspection
For safety and security reasons, China Eastern Airlines may, in conjunction with the relevant departments, conduct security checks, scans or X-ray inspections of passengers' baggage, and passengers shall be present; China Eastern Airlines shall not be liable for any loss suffered by a passenger who fails to be present when informed that his or her checked baggage has been inspected. If a passenger refuses inspection, China Eastern Airlines may refuse to transport the passenger or his/her baggage.
3. Baggage Receipt and Transportation
(1) Passengers should check in their baggage on the basis of a valid ticket, and China Eastern Airlines will indicate the number of pieces of checked baggage or/and the weight of the checked baggage on the ticket and the baggage ticket.
(2) China Eastern Airlines only accepts baggage at check-in on the day of flight departure. If a passenger requests to check in baggage in advance, he/she must obtain the consent of China Eastern Airlines in advance.
(3) China Eastern Airlines shall attach a baggage tag to each piece of baggage checked in by a passenger and give the passenger the identification link therein.
(4) If a passenger consigns baggage for which there is a dispute over transportation responsibility, China Eastern Airlines shall attach a baggage tag to exempt the passenger from responsibility after obtaining the passenger's written consent; China Eastern Airlines shall not be liable to pay compensation for damage caused by the transportation of such baggage, or else China Eastern Airlines has the right to refuse to transport the baggage.
(5) Auxiliary equipment for the disabled shall not be filled in the exemption form unless the damage has occurred before the passenger's delivery.
4. Small Animals
(1) For the transportation of dogs, cats, domesticated birds and other small animals, passengers are required to make a request at the time of booking and obtain the prior consent of China Eastern Airlines before transportation. Transportation of small animals is to be handled by successive carriers and the consent of the successive carriers concerned should also be obtained. Small animals are to be transported in appropriate containers and presented with valid health and vaccination certificates, documents required by the country of entry or transit; the legal responsibility for the authenticity of the above documents shall be borne by the passenger, including, but not limited to, any fines or costs incurred for damages to himself/herself or to China Eastern Airlines.
(2) Small animals can only be transported in the cargo hold. The passenger shall transport the small animal to the airport for check-in on the same day of the flight by himself/herself.
(3) The weight of small animals, their containers and the food they carry shall not be included in the free baggage allowance of the passenger. (See 8.4.5 of these Conditions)
(4) Except for reasons of negligence on the part of China Eastern Airlines, the Passenger shall be fully responsible for the illness, escape, injury and death of the small animal checked in during transportation.
(5) Containers for small animals shall meet the requirements of China Eastern Airlines.
(6) Assistance dogs, guide dogs and hearing dogs may be brought into the cabin for transportation by passengers who have difficulty walking, blind passengers or deaf passengers if they meet the transportation conditions of China Eastern Airlines. Assistance dogs, guide dogs and hearing dogs together with their containers and food can be transported free of charge without being counted in the free baggage allowance.
(7) In accordance with the needs of safety and hygiene, China Eastern Airlines reserves the right to limit the number of small animals to be transported on each aircraft and to decide on the mode of transportation of small animals.
