Medical waste was first listed in the national hazardous waste list, and the production link was managed by the health department, while the disposal link was managed by the environmental protection department. At present, medical waste in China can only be disposed of and cannot be used. The disposal method is single, only incineration and high temperature sterilization.
Medical and health institutions and medical waste disposal institutions should strictly implement the transfer list system when transferring medical waste, and medical and health institutions should strictly check the qualifications of medical waste disposal units. If medical and health institutions collude with unqualified disposal units to illegally buy and sell medical wastes, this black-box operation may also constitute a duty crime.
