History of Jingzhou Second People's Hospital

In 1922, Tong Jiachang, a Zhejiang native, founded the private Fuhe Hospital.

In 1927, the private Fuho Hospital was formally developed with 10 beds and 12 employees.

In 1956, Shashi City Employees' Hospital was established as a joint venture between the Preventive Clinic for Publicly-funded Medical Care for Municipal Public Teachers and the private Fuho Hospital.

In 1962, Shashi City People's Committee officially named "Shashi City Second People's Hospital".

In 1995, the Jingzhou area merged with Shashi City, and the hospital was renamed Jingsha Second People's Hospital.

In 1997, approved by the Jingzhou municipal government, the former Jingzhou City Second Hospital and Jingzhou City Infectious Diseases Hospital merged to form the "Jingzhou City Second People's Hospital".

In 2007, it was approved by Jingzhou Municipal Government to be the affiliated hospital of Hubei Provincial Higher Specialized School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In 2012, approved by the Department of Health of Hubei Province, "Jingzhou Geriatric Hospital".
