Every one of us may have seen the decline of rural schools. But when I face it, I still feel very shocked. There are fewer and fewer children in a school and fewer and fewer children in a village. How can it not be shocking? So why do rural schools decline so fast? The state has balanced education and increased rural subsidies. Why can't it keep the children? The actual reason is very simple.
first, with the acceleration of urbanization, the gap between urban and rural areas is widening. Nowadays, urbanization is being carried out everywhere, and the more beautiful the big cities are, the wider the gap between urban and rural areas is. Rural people have no income, and the government's investment in rural areas is limited, so even if the conditions in rural areas are much better than before, the gap is still bigger than that in big cities. Although the rural areas in the past were poor, the big cities were not too prosperous, and the gap between us was not as obvious as it is today.
second, education in big cities is developing too fast, and the countryside can't catch up at all. In recent years, all localities are building their own famous schools and expanding their local influence. Therefore, there are more and more famous schools, especially the rise of urban private schools, which has accelerated the development of urban education. When kindergartens in Beijing are learning English, rural schools may not have a professional English teacher. Education in big cities is developing faster and faster with the support of the government, and it is impossible for rural schools to catch up. The gap has been established and there is no way to narrow it.
third: rural people have no other source of income except going out to work. In the past, rural people basically farmed at home, but now rural people may have no source of income if they don't go out to work. So there are almost no young people in the countryside at present, and everyone goes out to work. Parents did a good job outside and took their children out to school. Only some parents can't take them out, so they go to school in the countryside, which is the so-called left-behind children. These children are the main force in rural schools. Because they are not accompanied by their parents all the year round and have no family education, the responsibility of education depends almost entirely on school teachers, but the ability of teachers is limited, so the quality of education in rural areas is always difficult to improve! It's not that people don't want to stay in the countryside, but they have to go out to work! Only in this way can we guarantee life!
fourthly, with the improvement of people's understanding of education, people pay more attention to education than before. Now people basically know that knowledge can change their destiny, so they are trying their best to train their children! Rural people certainly know this. Therefore, families with slightly better conditions in rural areas have sent their children to school in county towns. Only those who really can't send out will stay in the countryside to continue their studies. Education has become the only chance for the people at the bottom to change their destiny, and we are trying our best to grasp what we can!
Many people say that the decline of rural education is due to the departure of teachers and excellent teachers. Those who actually stay in the countryside are not necessarily poor teachers. The key is that all the children can walk away; Some people say that the reason for the decline of rural education is that students and excellent students have left. In fact, so many left-behind children are not necessarily not excellent. The key is that these children are not supported by any family education. The main reason why the countryside can't keep excellent teachers and so many children is that the urbanization process is too fast. Who can stop it under the general trend of historical development? No one can stop it. So we can see that although the state has taken many measures to balance education and increase subsidies for rural teachers. But it still can't stop the loss of students in rural schools, nor can it improve the teaching quality of rural schools!
Urbanization is irreversible, and we should not think about letting children in the city return to the countryside. However, these children in rural areas hope that the country must keep them, no matter what. Without children in the countryside, there is no hope! Therefore, it is urgent to improve the treatment and status of rural teachers. We must make some people willing to take root in the countryside. Only in this way can rural education have hope!
