Jinshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University is located in the southwest of Shanghai, the East China Sea, Hangzhou Bay, Jinshan New City, adjacent to the northeastern part of Zhejiang Province and the two mega-chemical bases-Shanghai Petrochemical and Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone. Is a professional department set up complete, advanced medical equipment, medical care, teaching, research, rehabilitation and prevention as one of the three tiers of general hospitals, Shanghai civilized unit, the national civilized unit. The hospital was founded in 1975, formerly known as Shanghai Petrochemical General Factory Hospital, in 1984, Shanghai Petrochemical General Factory and the former Shanghai First Medical College jointly ran the hospital renamed Shanghai First Medical College Affiliated Jinshan Hospital, in 1985 renamed Shanghai Medical University Affiliated Jinshan Hospital, in 1994 passed the national level 3B hospital assessment, and at the same time was named by the Red Cross Society of China as the Red Cross Hospital of Jinshan, Shanghai. In 2000, due to the merger of Shanghai Medical University and Fudan University, it was renamed Jinshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University.
