Dry eye disease in daily life to do the following:
(a) Normal living habits, sleep should be enough, do not stay up all night.
(2) A balanced diet, eat less stimulating food, eat more fruits and foods rich in vitamins A, C, E; such as: liver, egg yolks, milk, dark green, yellow-colored fruits and vegetables (such as: green river vegetables, carrots, spinach, tomatoes, papayas, tomatoes, mangoes, or citrus, etc.).
(3) If you need to read or operate a computer for a long time, it is recommended that you take a break of 5-10 minutes every 40 minutes. Involuntary blinking during the break can make a thin layer of tears on the surface of the eye spread evenly to protect the cornea.
(D) hot compresses for the eyes: a clean towel immersed in hot water at a temperature slightly higher than the general temperature of our bath (to the temperature of the wrist), slightly wrung out, the towel will be flattened to cover the closed eyelids, until the towel cooled off, and then dipped in hot water after the hot compresses. Each hot compress 5 to 10 minutes (daily in the early morning or bath hot compress or three to four times a day), if you need to point eye medicine, in the hot compress, and then the eye drops and ointment on the effect is better.
(5) If you have eye discomfort, do not buy eye drops on your own, because some medications, when used for a long period of time, can cause damage to the conjunctiva and cornea and lead to dry eye.
(6) When you wash your face, pay attention to the eyelid margins, if necessary, you can use a cotton swab dipped in water to clean the eyelid margins locally, so that the secretion glands of the eyes open and clear.
(7) If you want to wear contact lenses, your doctor should first assess your tear secretion and choose the appropriate type of contact lenses and wearing time.
(h) When using a computer, the eye line of sight should be parallel to or slightly below the monitor screen height, because looking up at the screen will cause an increase in the area of the eyeballs exposed, which will easily lead to the evaporation of tears, dryness and fatigue of the eyes.
(9) Avoid outdoor activities in hot, dry and windy environments. If you need to go outdoors, it is recommended that you wear wider-rimmed eyeglasses to avoid eye irritation from the wind, and if you need to ride a motorcycle, it is best to wear a full-coverage helmet, which prevents your dry eyes from getting worse.
(10) Putting a pot of water or using a humidifier in a centrally air-conditioned room can increase indoor humidity and prevent excessive evaporation of tears.
(xi) Prohibit smoking, as it will lead to low tear secretion and excessive evaporation, which will worsen the dry eye syndrome
