Guotai General Hospital assisted Vietnam Yuede Hospital to build an emergency medical information system, which made the emergency process intelligent and solved the long-standing emergency congestion problem. (Photo courtesy of Guotai Hospital) Viet Duc Hspital is the largest trauma surgery center in North Vietnam and receives a large number of referral patients every day. However, due to the classification of emergency trauma surgery and the lack of information system, the emergency department has long been congested, with an average of about 40 patients waiting for surgery in the emergency department every day.
The intelligent medical team of Guotai Hospital assisted Vietnam Yuede Hospital to build an emergency medical information system.
In order to cooperate with the new southward policy, in August this year, Cathay General Hospital and the consortium corporate hospital evaluation and medical quality promotion association joined hands to form a smart medical team, and went to Vietnam Yuede Hospital to evaluate and introduce smart medical cases. The two sides signed the Memorandum of Medical Cooperation (MOU) between Taiwan and Vietnam, hoping to help Vietnam's Vietnam-Germany Hospital solve the long-standing emergency congestion problem with the rich experience of Guotai General Hospital.
The smart medical team is led by Chen Jianhua, director of emergency medicine department of Guotai Hospital, and is composed of personnel from information department, quality management center, nursing department and other related professional fields. Recently, I visited the emergency department of Yuede Hospital and reviewed the emergency operation process. The medical team diagnosed that Yuede Hospital could not know the pre-hospital situation of patients in advance during the transfer process, which further affected the timeliness of follow-up treatment; In addition, the lack of information system assistance in emergency examination, the dependence of operation classification and operation progress on people are all the reasons that lead to the inability to effectively divert patients and effectively utilize human resources, which leads to emergency congestion.
Guotai Hospital and Yuede Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on medical cooperation between Taiwan Province and Vietnam.
Chen Jianhua, director of emergency medicine department of Guotai Hospital, pointed out that it is very important to know the pre-hospital situation of patients and lack an operation scheduling system. Because it is impossible to know the patient's condition in advance and the operating room or ward can't prepare in advance, every transferred patient can only wait in the emergency department, waiting for surgery or ward, resulting in emergency congestion and overcrowding.
In order to promote the effective application of medical resources, Guotai Hospital and Yuede Hospital signed a Memorandum of Medical Cooperation (MOU) to assist Yuede in establishing an emergency medical information system, including introducing it into the pre-hospital ambulance telemedicine system and establishing an emergency injury detection and operation scheduling information system to replace the current manual control.
Minister Chen Jinling of Vietnam Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Taipei, Dr. Chen Guixiang and Dr. Fan Xuanyue of Hanoi Health Bureau of Vietnam attended the witness signing ceremony. Starting from 10, Yuede will send three professionals to Guotai Hospital for training. The introduction of information system will help Yuede Hospital to realize the intelligentization of emergency procedures and improve medical quality.
