Yiwu Houzhai Rehabilitation Center (Yiwu City rehabilitation training base for the disabled), in Yiwu City Health Bureau and Yiwu City Disabled Persons Federation of the strong support on December 1, 2007 was formally established in our hospital in Yiwu City rehabilitation training base for the disabled and Yiwu City, community rehabilitation demonstration base. The rehabilitation center has established intern training agreements with Jinhua Medical College and Hubei Xianning College. The Rehabilitation Center has set up 45 beds, and the demand for beds has exceeded the supply since the opening, and the utilization rate of beds has reached 95%. The Rehabilitation Center has established a good two-way referral system with various general hospitals in Yiwu City. Our hospital is actively exploring the development of community rehabilitation with the six-in-one development model and promoting the construction of community rehabilitation in the city based on the Rehabilitation Center. The staff of the Rehabilitation Center consists of 22 people (5 doctors, 10 therapists, 7 nurses) including 1 deputy chief physician, 1 attending physician, 3 residents; 4 rehabilitation therapists. The center is also equipped with professional PT, OT and ST therapists, of which five rehabilitation therapists have been trained by the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the domestic famous tertiary hospitals. The rehabilitation center combines traditional Chinese medicine and modern rehabilitation medicine with the new concept of "Neurological Training and Rehabilitation Therapy" to form a new rehabilitation medical service model that combines Chinese and Western medicine to create the largest modern professional rehabilitation center in Yiwu City. It mainly treats patients with dysfunction caused by neurological diseases or injuries, such as hemiplegia, craniocerebral trauma, spinal cord injury, pediatric cerebral palsy, hand trauma rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation and other patients.
