With the strong support of the school, relevant departments and medical college leaders, it was approved to set up the Department of Stomatology on the second floor of Area B, Building 5, the main building of Xiang 'an Campus of Xiamen University (about 1620m? ) The experimental teaching center of stomatology was established.
With the support of180,000 yuan, the special fund for improving the basic conditions for running schools in central universities, the repair of teaching laboratories and the purchase of experimental teaching instruments and equipment were completed, and the following teaching laboratories were initially built:
1. virtual simulation center: including 9 sets of imported digital virtual simulation dentist training systems.
2. Head mould training center: including 39 imported dental teaching head mould systems, root canal therapy microscope 1 set, digital oral teaching evaluation system 1 set, oral clinical technical evaluation, inspection and guidance system 1 set, and multimedia teaching system 1 set.
3. Oral operation laboratory: including 38 tables for dental technicians, 43 gypsum grinders, 40 electric wax knives, and multimedia teaching system 1 set.
4. Prosthodontics laboratory: including various instruments and equipment for making dentures, such as sintering furnace, sandblasting machine, casting machine, tongue measuring machine, invisible denture machine, parallel observation instrument, etc.
5. Basic clinical laboratory: including 10 dental comprehensive treatment machine, 10 ultrasonic tooth cleaner and 1 set of multimedia teaching system.
6. Basic skills laboratory: including 1 cell culture room, various centrifuges, fluorescence microscope, biological microscope, nucleic acid and protein analyzer, electrophoresis instrument, biological incubator, etc.
7.PBL teaching laboratory: it can carry out teaching activities such as lectures and class group discussions.
8. Oral specimen room: including various head, oral and dental specimens and various teaching models.
9. Model preparation room: it is enough to carry out tooth model forming experiments.
10. Cleaning and disinfection room: dental mobile phones and materials can be cleaned, disinfected, sorted, packaged and stored.
