What is LCD module and what is the difference from LCD panel?

The LCD module is simply a screen+backlight module. The display component of LCD TV is LCD module, and its low temperature is equivalent to the picture tube in CRT. Other parts include power supply circuit, signal processing circuit and, of course, shell and so on. The module is mainly divided into screen and backlight module. These two components are assembled together, but work independently of each other (that is, the circuits are not related).

There are two kinds of liquid crystal modules, one is color liquid crystal; The second is monochromatic liquid crystal. Among them, monochromatic liquid crystals are divided into monochromatic graphic dot matrix liquid crystals, monochromatic character dot matrix liquid crystals and monochromatic customized pen segment liquid crystals.

Applications of LCD module: electric power measurement and control terminal, injection molding machine computer, numerical control system, man-machine interface, medical instruments, biochemical analysis, textile machinery control, tax control machine, lottery machine, food detection, chromatographic analysis, electronic measurement, environmental experimental equipment, fire safety, automotive electronics and data acquisition.

LCD panel is the material that determines the brightness, contrast, color and viewing angle of LCD. The price trend of LCD panel directly affects the price of LCD, and the quality and technology of LCD panel are related to the overall performance of LCD.

The discrimination of LCD panel lies not only in the number of bad spots, bright spots and dark spots, but also in the difference of color purity and viewing angle. According to the comprehensive evaluation of these product indicators, manufacturers can rate LCD as Grade A, Grade B and Grade C, and will price the products on this basis. Among them, Class A and Class B screens must be tested with special instruments, which are difficult to distinguish with naked eyes.

Panel manufacturers' classification of products varies from place to place: Korean manufacturers have less than three A-level products.

Less than five Japanese manufacturers are A-level.

Manufacturers in Taiwan Province, 8 or less, are Grade A..

The nominal grade standard of mainstream liquid crystal products is:

Class AA: LCD without any bad spots is Class AA.

Grade A: No more than 3 bad spots, including no more than one bright spot, and the bright spot is not in the central area of the screen.

Grade B: No more than 3 bad spots, including no more than 2 bright spots, and the bright spots are not in the central area of the screen.
