Modern Karma Facts I (Fruitful Qing)

Superior Hsuan Hua's Enlightenment

*We learn Buddhism by learning not to annoy others, therefore Buddhists should be vegetarian, because eating meat will harm the lives of other beings.

If it is said that animals are prepared for human beings to eat, then for whom are human beings prepared to eat?

If we want to truly sanitize this world, we must all be vegetarians and not eat meat.

*All maladies, such as malaria and cancer, are caused by ghosts, and the misalignment of the five internal organs and the four major disorders are caused by karmic ghosts. Because people have karmic obstacles in their past lives, when the time comes, ghosts come to collect debts. Also because the person's yang energy is insufficient, yin and yang are weak, so the ghosts can get their way. If you can always be free of worries and have wisdom, the ghosts will not be able to take advantage of you. Once you have desire and ignorance, it is easy for ghosts to get in. By analogy, all 84,000 diseases have causes and consequences. Even the bite of a mosquito, the sting of a bee, and everything else that happens to you in this world is cause and effect. If a person understands this reasoning, then a little bit of wrongdoing will not dare to do, a wrongdoing will be retribution.

*If you are able to repent, to reform yourself, to know your own mistakes, to untie the knot of sin, then the sins are annihilated, there is no more. It's like when you have a disease and you sweat through your body, gradually that disease will be cured, the disease will be gone.

Originality

I was only five years old when the new China was born, and I grew up with an atheistic education and had no contact with either Buddhism or any other religion. When I grew up, although I had been to the temple, it was only for tourism. Out of curiosity, I even went to church with my classmates. But in my mind, it was religion that was confused with superstition.

So how did I come to learn the path of Buddhism?

It started with a trip to Wutai Mountain in mid-summer more than ten years ago.

Wutai Mountain is one of the four holy places of Buddhism in China, and it is the dojo of Manjushri Bodhisattva. In between, the famous monasteries I have long traveled. The majestic ancient temples, the smoke-drenched halls, as well as the sound of bells and chimes that people hear the dust and labor to eliminate, every time I have a déjà vu touched. That time I revisited, I was excited, suddenly wanted to visit the hidden in the mountains, little-known wild monks. I will always remember the dawn of that day, cold, purple fog rising. Refreshing me, tidy up the traveling clothes, carrying a map, alone began the journey to find the scenery. Who knows, this together with the program has transformed me and the fate of many people in the future. To this day, I see Wutai Mountain as my place of rebirth.

Departure, I intentionally avoided the straight road, specializing in choosing the winding road. Along the way, but see the mountain peaks, forests and ravines deep, smoke and light condensed green, reflecting the snow. Just feel refreshed, open heart. The road is more rugged, I simply meandering along the stream and was able to enjoy the ancient trees and cold rocks, white clouds and pale springs, exotic grasses and flowers, forgetting the landscape. All the way up the cliffs and streams, I do not know near noon, but I did not even see the hermit, the shadow of the monk, inevitably some discouragement. I am looking around at the time of confusion, suddenly heard a wooden fish sound vaguely: toot - toot - toot - ethereal and ancient sound lingering in the mountains, just like the sky XuKai. By intuition, I decided that the sound is from the west of the smoke and haze cover, forests and trees in the deep and secluded valleys. I immediately shook my spirit, deep a foot shallow a foot stepping on the gravel grass to the valley run. A step into the pale and deep show in the valley, only to see the purple disk, Jia Mu Sen, suspected to be a fairyland. At this time, the sound of wooden fish has been from far and near, but then suddenly stopped. I just follow the sound, but suddenly found a clear stream has been diagonally present. She is like a fairy, immaculate, spitting pearls and jade. No time to think carefully, I that is bent over the head, scooped up the water and drink, suddenly feel sweet and cool, teeth and cheeks fragrant. Drinking and then again after the water to wash your face, is not a pleasure. I suddenly realized that there was a person standing on the other side of the bank, and I was shocked to look up.

Only see an old monk beard and hair, cassock and shoes, folded hands end standing. The wind was blowing, and his hair was whipping, and his shirt was floating. The four eyes across the shore, I actually feel a dizzy spell. His eyes were so compassionate, pure and peaceful. I don't know how I got to the other side of the river, but I felt that he was like my parents from another world, which made me yearn for him physically and mentally.

"Scholar, excuse me." The old monk put his hands together in greeting.

"No, it is I who have disturbed your purification." At a loss for words, I returned the salute in a panic. God knows, this was the first time I had ever spoken to a monk. I flew through my memory piecing together decent language.

"The monk likes this secluded place?"

"I just want to avoid the bustling attractions and take a walk alone in the mountains." I didn't have the heart to say the second half of the sentence, "Actually, I want to have a strange encounter."

"Oh, so that's really stirring. The monks travel slowly, the old line will go first."

While my mouth was hanging open, the old monk had already drifted westward. I hurriedly caught up a few steps, red-faced, said, "Please stay, in fact, I am looking forward to meeting a high monk like you."

"Goodness, I'm not a 'high monk', I'm just a meddlesome guiding monk."

"Was it you who was knocking on the wooden fish just now?" I opened my mouth wide.

The wooden fish knocked awake the dreamer, and the clear stream swept away the dusty mind.

I silently pondered over the words of the old monk, and while I seemed to understand them, I had already followed him to a place where the forest and the vines had opened up. But see the green amenity floating in the air, the sound of the spring all the time. Surrounded by pear trees, old trunk gnarled, fruit and branches. The north side of the terrain is a little high and flat, facing the spring, there is a narrow hut.

"I've really met the monk who came out of the world!" I have too much excitement and doubt, opened my mouth, but lest the sound of vulgarity tainted this dusty place, the words to the mouth and swallowed back.

"The Saha world is not a place where you can hide for a long time, and the time you have is limited, so don't wait until you die. Fame and fortune are always empty, worldly love finally breaks up, and revenge never ends." The old monk's seemingly thoughtless chanting was like a thunderbolt to me.

"People in the world only know how to commit sins, but do not know how to repent, but seek to enjoy the blessings, and refuse to cherish the blessings. They do not know that 'one sound of the Buddha's recitation increases one's blessings immeasurably; one bow of the Buddha's salute extinguishes one's sins.'"

I couldn't help but lean forward two steps and kneel down in front of the old monk: "Master, please accept me as your disciple, I want to learn Buddhism from you."

"The Dharma is like the sea, only faith can enter. Do you 'believe'?" The old monk intentionally increased his tone on the word 'believe'.

This question left me speechless. Yes, I have never thought that Buddhism is superstition, not to mention the teeth to bow to God, Buddha. Today, how did I piously kneel at the feet of an old monk I don't even know? For a while, it was difficult for me to answer. However, "empty", "dust and labor", "repentance" ...... and so on these words and phrases have been burned into my mind. But these words and phrases have been burned into my mind, and they continue to stir up emotions in me that seem to have been missing for a long time. At the time when I was feeling disoriented, I found that the old monk was gazing at me with compassion, and for a moment I had mixed feelings, and a huge teardrop fell on the monk's clean white socks. Even though I felt I had lost my temper, my tears still came out, and I sobbed silently like a child who had made a mistake.

"Faith is the source of the Way and the mother of merit, but faith is divided into positive faith and superstition. The so-called positive faith is to be righteous but not evil, aware but not superstitious. Converts to Buddhism must first establish correct knowledge ......

"Those who salute the Buddha honor the Buddha's virtue; those who recite the Buddha's name are grateful for the Buddha's grace; those who read the sutra understand the sutra's reasoning; those who sit in zazen ascend to the Buddha's realm; and those who attain enlightenment testify to the Buddha's way. ......"

I hungrily listened to the old monk's word-for-word enlightenment, and felt that every blade of grass in front of me was shining with golden light, and every green leaf had the face of Buddha. Unconsciously, the sun was already slanting in the west, the old monk wanted to get up to send me out of the mountain. Suddenly, he touched out a pear from the rocky hollow of the spring like magic and handed it to me. Looking at this bright yellow fruit, I remembered that I hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch. I thanked the old monk, took the pear and took a bite, the fragrance full of teeth, clear lungs Huarun, surprised as a fairy fruit. The old monk looked at my mouth half-open funny expression, child-like radiant smile, in each of his wrinkles are surging waves of joy. His smile touched me y, making me feel as if we were old friends who had known each other for many years.

"This pear was originally bitter and hard to swallow. But once it is dipped in this spring, it will become sweet after only three months. This spring is moist in winter and cool in summer, and the pears can be collected and stored in the flowing water for a year."

"So, you can practice here for long years?" I was filled with curiosity and fascination.

The old monk smiled and did not comment.

The ancient moon was like frost, the breeze was like water, and the brook was murmuring. I and the old monk all the way to talk clearly, without feeling the cold and difficult to return to the town of Taihuai pass. The old monk from the sleeve out of a folded carefully paper handed me, hands together, that is to say goodbye. I really don't want to give up, but I know it's useless to talk about it.

"We will meet again when we have the chance." The old monk's figure like the ancient moon into the pine forest.

The face of the Milky Way pouring down the lights of ten thousand homes, I actually a little touched and frustrated. My heart has never been as clear and peaceful as it is today. When I thought of the old monk's statement that he would soon end his retreat, enter the world, and speak as he pleased, I quickened my pace back to the residence, as if by walking a few steps faster I would be able to see him sooner.

Sitting quietly at the table in the guest room, I recalled my dream-like experience of the day, and realized that there was a deep meaning to it all. Suddenly, I remembered that I had forgotten to ask the old monk for his name, and I couldn't help but feel annoyed. At this time, suddenly remembered the old monk left me a paper, hastily opened:

Sunset grass hut Buddha deep / sitting alone on the steps grinding jade wheel / round will be difficult to loss of the original heart / plain eyes of the heart of the sword dust / orchid condensation dew / bird perched in the soul / ten thousand voices into the clouds / Shu Lang *** with the pine wind dance / do not wet false to not decorate the true

Number of lines of ancient and simple and strong text jumped into my eyes. At the bottom, there is a small line written in the words "Myoho"

What a great "not moist and false and not adorned with truth"! I was very happy to have the permanent address of the old monk Myoho, and I was looking forward to another day of Dharma rain. Soon, I got in touch with him, and since then, we have started the inexplicable relationship between master and disciple.

Time flies, and ten years have flown by.

Today I am now close to my age, during this period I have witnessed the old monk's dedication, forgetting his body for the Dharma, and teaching countless sentient beings. But I have not been able to put down all the karmas, and I am ashamed to say that I have not been able to realize the true meaning of the word! But also really do not want to bring these vivid, solid examples of cause and effect into the grave, and therefore hesitated again and again, before picking up this blunt pen. It is very likely that there are words in the book that are inappropriate, and I hope that all the great Buddhist friends will be corrected. The first thing I would like to do is to take a verse and encourage all of you to do the same:

Greed and anger are not willing to give up, in vain to read the sutra, see the prescription not to take the medicine, the disease from where to lighten up?

At the beginning of the new millennium, I wish all of us can be three roots of the universal, sharp and blunt both cultivation, the growth of fortune and wisdom, the Buddha's path to early success! (In view of the many inconveniences, I have omitted the real names and places of the characters involved in the book.)

Shame on the disciple of the Triple Gem: Guo Qing

Disease enters by the mouth warning

Stewing meat and frying fish to satisfy the craving, not knowing that the animal's heart is not willing. The kitchen is turned into a slaughterhouse, and the belly is cut open to the knife.

Frying, cooking and deep-frying are all punishments, but swallowing and chewing alive is a beautiful meal. The gods have taken refuge in you, and sooner or later they will make you pay for your life.

Good and evil will be rewarded in the end, and sickness enters by the mouth. The time will soon come when you will be filled with evil, and you will be hospitalized with disease.

Breaking the belly and cutting the heart, all the kitchen scene is reproduced. If I had known that I would go to hell today, why would I have been so greedy in the first place?

Introduction

Everyone has been suffering from a variety of illnesses in their lives, bringing great pain to themselves and their family members both physically and mentally. Whether you are poor or rich, powerful or powerless, not many people can get rid of the entanglement of disease, and even life is worn out little by little, money and power can not help.

So why do people get sick?

In addition to normal aging and the decline of human body functions, it is often believed that many diseases are "diseases from the mouth". It is generally believed that eating unclean food will make you sick. If this statement is correct, then we have all seen years and years of street sleepers, do not wash their hands and faces, do not bathe, in the garbage cans to find something to eat. In winter and summer, with no clothes to cover their bodies, in summer heat and winter cold, with mosquitoes and insects biting them, who has ever seen anyone get diarrhea, or catch a cold or fever from eating a few dirty things? But then look at us these so-called civilized people, everywhere to talk about hygiene, meals to talk about tonic, but often can not get away from the drugs and hospitals. So what is the meaning of "illness enters by the mouth"?

Remember, in the 1950s, pneumonia was a big disease. Later, with the birth of tetracycline, pneumonia could be cured. Then came the dreaded tuberculosis, which was finally defeated by streptomycin. Then cancer, AIDS, and even unnamed diseases represented by code names, appeared one by one in the world, and medical doctors all over the world could not find a solution. And newspapers were full of unexplained diseases. Science in the rapid development of medical equipment is more and more advanced, a variety of new and expensive drugs, can not make these diseases disappear, as if God is intentionally against mankind, there is a "Road high, the devil is high," the momentum. You do not see today's hospitals are difficult to see, expensive, find a good doctor more difficult?

The real reason why people get sick is that after I read the scriptures, I realized, and then in practice, I have been verified countless times. Simply put, "greed, anger, and stupidity" are the root causes of illness. To be more specific, the "ten evil karmas" are the birthplace of various diseases. Disease enters by the mouth" refers to eating things that should not be eaten, saying things that should not be said, and doing things that should not be done. Here, I will tell a few stories about the cause and effect of killing and eating meat, for the reference of fellow practitioners.
