The Key Laboratory of Design and Manufacture of Micro-Nano Biomedical Devices in Jiangsu Province now has 5 professors, 4 associate professors, and nearly 100 postgraduates, with a variety of advanced microfabrication systems and analyzing and testing systems. The laboratory has completed dozens of vertical and a large number of horizontal scientific research projects, such as the National 973 pre-preparation project, the Natural Science Foundation and 863 program. It has won one first prize of Jiangsu Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress, and many second and third prizes of Jiangsu Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress, and has achieved good social and economic benefits.
Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Design and Manufacture of Micro-Nano Biomedical Devices is located on the second floor of Mechanical Building, Jiulonghu Campus of Southeast University, with 1000 square meters of experimental rooms, including 150 square meters of medical 10,000-grade ultra-clean room and 180 square meters of constant-temperature and constant-humidity ultra-clean room; meanwhile, there is a 300-square-meter experimental and testing site in ****building unit Nanjing Wicresoft Medical Science and Technology Co.
The construction and operation of the laboratory is managed by the director under the direct leadership of Southeast University. The management committee consists of members from Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Southeast University and Nanjing Wicresoft Science and Technology Co. The director of the laboratory is the highest administrative and operational person in charge, organizes the application and implementation of major projects, formulates the development plan of the laboratory, and is appointed by Southeast University for a term of four years.
Since 2003 to 2008, the total **** completed and undertook more than ten national 863 projects, national 973 pre-research projects, key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and more than ten projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and established long-term cooperation with many domestic and foreign scientific research institutes such as the University of California, Berkeley and other related enterprises.
The director of the laboratory is Prof. Yi Hong, and the deputy directors are Prof. Chen Yunfei and Prof. Ni Zhonghua.
