Legal analysis: Medical waste refers to waste that is directly or indirectly infectious, toxic and other harmful that is generated by medical and health institutions during medical treatment, prevention, health care and other related activities. (1) The Hospital Infection Management Department and the General Affairs Department are responsible for training personnel and managers engaged in the collection, transportation, storage, and disposal of medical waste on the relevant laws and regulations, safety protection, and emergency treatment of medical waste disposal. .

(2) Domestic garbage in black garbage bags on the road will be collected regularly by hospital cleaning staff and transported in sealed containers according to fixed routes within the hospital, so as not to pollute the environment. The domestic garbage collected in a centralized manner should be transported away in time by the municipal environmental sanitation management department. If the domestic garbage cannot be transported away in time, it must be stored in sealed containers.

(3) Medical departments should be equipped with covered (plastic) containers, sharps boxes, etc. for collecting domestic garbage and medical waste. Uncontaminated waste (such as drug packaging, salt water bottles, penicillin bottles, etc.) can be disposed of as domestic garbage. Dressings and cotton swabs are collected as infectious medical waste; glass retorts, broken glassware, etc. are collected as damaging medical waste, sorted and placed in containers with yellow garbage bags for medical waste, and handled carefully to avoid damage.
