Performance and uses of plastic pallets

Performance:

It is divided into three types: high pressure, medium pressure and low pressure polyethylene. High-pressure polyethylene is flexible in texture; low-pressure polyethylene is hard in texture, has good cold resistance, and remains soft at -70°C. It has high chemical stability and is resistant to acids, alkalis and organic solvents. It has outstanding electrical properties and good radiation resistance. Use flame spraying or electrostatic spraying to coat metal surfaces to reduce friction and prevent corrosion. The disadvantage is that the mechanical strength is not high and the thermal deformation temperature is very low, so it cannot withstand higher loads.

Uses:

Corrosion-resistant linings of chemical equipment and storage tanks, chemical corrosion-resistant pipes, valves, bushings, and roller frames to replace copper and stainless steel. The insulation layer of high-frequency underwater cables or general cables. Transistor radio rod antenna clamp holder.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

Performance:

Polyvinyl chloride is divided into soft and hard polyvinyl chloride:

Hard polyvinyl chloride , high mechanical strength, excellent electrical performance, strong acid and alkali resistance, and good chemical stability; Disadvantages: low softening point.

The tensile strength, flexural strength, impact strength, impact toughness, etc. of soft polyvinyl chloride are lower than that of hard polyvinyl chloride, while the elongation at break is higher.

Usage:

Rigid PVC products include pipes and rods, plates, welding rods, centrifugal pumps, ventilators, tanker oil pipes, acid-base pump valves and containers, etc.

Soft PVC products include storage tanks, sheets, films, wire insulation layers, window covers, acid and alkali resistant hoses, etc.

Polypropylene (PP)

Performance:

The main feature of polypropylene is its low density, its mechanical properties are better than low-pressure polyethylene, and it has many advantages. Outstanding rigidity and good heat resistance. Can be used above 100℃. It basically does not absorb water and has good chemical stability. It is almost stable except for concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid. It has excellent high-frequency electrical properties, is not affected by temperature, and is easy to form. The disadvantages are that the wear resistance is not high enough, the forming shrinkage is large, the low temperature is brittle, and the heat deformation temperature is also low.

Uses:

Can be used to make various mechanical parts, such as flanges, gears, joints, pump impellers, and automobile parts. Chemical pipelines and container equipment. And can be used as linings, surface coatings, audio tapes, medical instruments and surgical instruments, etc.

Polystyrene (PS)

Performance:

It has certain mechanical strength, excellent chemical stability and electrical properties, and good light transmittance. It has good coloring properties and is easy to form. Its characteristic is that it is almost completely resistant to water. Its shortcomings are low heat resistance and brittleness. Moreover, its products are easily broken due to internal stress, so they can only be used under low loads and not high ( 60~75℃).

Uses:

Various instrument casings, frames, instrument indicators, lampshades, automobile lampshades, chemical acid storage tanks, acid delivery tanks (especially hydrofluoric acid), chemical instruments Parts, telecommunication parts, due to good transparency, can be used as optical instrument parts and lenses.

The plastic pallet materials mentioned above are widely used in food, beverages, beer, medicine, textiles, automobile manufacturing, electronic appliances, hardware machinery, insulation layers of logistics center cables, window covers, automobiles Parts, chemical instrument parts, etc.
