Metrological calibration
The main type of instrument calibration is naturally "calibration". Metrological calibration does not include calibration work other than compulsory verification equipment, and involves a wide range of equipment maintenance work. Metrological calibration is a management work to check the data parameters and usage of equipment in detail and provide accurate data for reference. Calibration can let enterprises know their own equipment usage and data error range, which is a necessary work for enterprises to deal with relevant inspections and ensure the safety of equipment use.
metrological verification
Metrological verification in instrument calibration is the verification work that only includes compulsory verification equipment. Metrological verification is different from metrological calibration. It has legal attributes and can be used as a reference and basis for legal judgment. Metrological verification can give the conclusion of whether the equipment is qualified or not, and it is a verification work that can judge whether the equipment is qualified or not, and the data will be weakened.
Metrological detection
Metrological detection is the detection business of finished products in instrument calibration, which usually detects products, food, ingredients and so on. The object of metrological testing is different from calibration and verification, so sometimes it is not the main business of calibration institutions, and the scope of metrological testing qualification of most third-party calibration institutions is also very small, not very wide.
The difference between the three is that the objects of metrological calibration and metrological verification are equipment and instruments, and metrological testing is finished products. These two objects are different. Verification and calibration continue to be divided into equipment and instruments, one is compulsory inspection equipment and the other is non-compulsory inspection equipment. Generally speaking, it is equipment management that divides different objects in the testing field. Among them, the qualification of metrological testing is often related to CMA, and the calibration of metrology is mainly based on CNAS. Specifically, the qualifications of institutions can be divided by this.
